It's funny really, on social media sites, many goon fans have said how we copied them and it's just an Emirates! This must really be eating them up! :)
I'm not sure if it is yet because they keep bringing up how 'it's a mess' and whilst it is at the moment, once we move in we'll be getting nothing but admiration and we will be so glad that they built their's first so that we could look at it and say 'don't build it like that'!

It's nothing alike either, very compact, not overly exposed to too much sunlight and air - those stands will feel more like walls than a field of space.

Let them laugh and mock it now because they won't be in 6 months time.

It’s probably due to all of the empty seats and eerie silence. Our ground will be different on an actual match day.

I bet there are people that still think the stadium isn't getting built. Almost Trump-esk! :sneaky:
On a serious note... I LOVE THE LOOK OF OUR NEW HOME!!!! They couldn't have made it more in keeping with our identity, it has WHL written all over it.

Not according to @coys200 it doesn’t.

Don't know if Maxi knows anymore than the rest of us

I mentioned a while back someone who works at the Club said he'd heard February. As I said then though, I'm sure people who work at Spurs are exposed to rumours and hearsay even more so than normal office environments and they're bad enough at times.

I want to say the stadium is going to be completed & signed off by the council & LFB in Dec. After viewing some of the footage today & learning that Tyco are having to bring in extra labour to complete the fire system in certain large areas fills me with dread.

I cannot now see it being ready at all, I hope I'm proved wrong but given the amount still to do, I would look to finish the stadium without rushing it & then opening for competitive & friendly games in July. It will be ready in April in my opinion now, which will coincide with

White Hart Lane & Tottenham Hale train stations being completed. Poch & the players will get time to bed in playing friendlies which seems sensible. Going back to my point on the fire & PAVA system these would all need to be installed now and being under test in all areas

To have any realistic chance of getting them into a state for LFB and council inspections

But we have a stadium that is the nuts, it will see us through the next hundred years, and as for being ready in Sep as programme planned...This was never achievable...

Wonder if there will be a first team training session there? (behind closed doors) there’s other facilities such as changing rooms and other player/team related stuff that’ll need testing...

Gotta test the fancy thrones custom built for each player in the changing room.

I'll probably be in the minority, but if the stadium ain't gonna be ready until February, I'd almost prefer to wait until the following season for a more 'grand' opening, rather than the final 7/8 games or so.

I know financially that'll not make sense, or for season ticket holders having to make alternative arrangements for Wembley I'll be spouting s***, but as a spectacle, the start of the 19/20 season would be my choice.

Much rather get 7-8 matches in this season.

First, the money saved will be substantial. Second, the money earned will be substantial.

And finally, the hardest part of moving into a new stadium is players becoming accustomed to the new surroundings - little things like pre-match rituals, to understanding their bearings on the pitch based on the stadium design - these are all things that come from experience, and we might as well get that stuff done this season, so that next year, it won't feel like a "new" stadium to the players, it will simply be "home" and they can hit the ground running - hopefully picking up where they left off with the final season of WHL.

For those who are season ticket holders and those that go to games it would be terrible if it’s not open this season.

I can believe that it might not be though.

From a team point of view it’s essential to be in this season it will win us a lot more points, I just know it.

I think being out of it all season would cost us a place int he top 4.

Wembley just isn't home for us now - think about how intimidating the old WHL was.

Our form hasn't been good this year and I think the lack of a ground we can truly call home is a factor

I would be stunned if we didn't move in this season. In any other job such a miscalculation (and deception - no way could they not have had some inkling) would result in some senior figures losing their jobs.

It's really taken the wind out of our sails

Yeah that's quite worrying, if Tyco need to bring in extra people then its a massive job....Tyco are a huge company with hundreds of their own engineers/fitters.
Its the first I've heard of their involvement, have they just been drafted in to clear up the mess I wonder.

TBH there has been huge employment drive by different companies working on the project to get electricians to fix this mess

Also people working on the stadium imo don't understand the difference between getting ready and it being finished
