TBH there has been huge employment drive by different companies working on the project to get electricians to fix this mess.

Also people working on the stadium imo don't understand the difference between getting ready and it being finished
Yeah I think you're definitely right on the second point.
My point about Tyco, is that they are actually a manufacturer so I presume it's their fire kit being installed...it could be that THFC or Mace have lost confidence in a third party, and have decided to get get the manufacturer in to sort the mess out as its the first time I've heard their name mentioned at all in the stadium build so far.

I am sure its been covered in previous posts but how can something so vital and important not be checked at certain checkpoints and the issues only arise at the crucial time? I dont really get it. Surely there is some a mechanism for reporting on these things throughout the project?

I want to say the stadium is going to be completed & signed off by the council & LFB in Dec. After viewing some of the footage today & learning that Tyco are having to bring in extra labour to complete the fire system in certain large areas fills me with dread.

I cannot now see it being ready at all, I hope I'm proved wrong but given the amount still to do, I would look to finish the stadium without rushing it & then opening for competitive & friendly games in July. It will be ready in April in my opinion now, which will coincide with

White Hart Lane & Tottenham Hale train stations being completed. Poch & the players will get time to bed in playing friendlies which seems sensible. Going back to my point on the fire & PAVA system these would all need to be installed now and being under test in all areas

To have any realistic chance of getting them into a state for LFB and council inspections

But we have a stadium that is the nuts, it will see us through the next hundred years, and as for being ready in Sep as programme planned...This was never achievable...

I don’t understand this.

If it’s as cut and dry as these people say it is then you wouldn’t pretend otherwise if you were Levy, would you? You’d just plan accordingly and get rid of the uncertainty.

IMO Levy either isn’t being told about this or - much more likely - these people are just spreading unsubstantiated shite for attention on social media, under the guise of “I’ve worked on the stadium and i’ve heard XYZ’.

I think being out of it all season would cost us a place int he top 4.

Wembley just isn't home for us now - think about how intimidating the old WHL was.

Our form hasn't been good this year and I think the lack of a ground we can truly call home is a factor

I would be stunned if we didn't move in this season. In any other job such a miscalculation (and deception - no way could they not have had some inkling) would result in some senior figures losing their jobs.

It's really taken the wind out of our sails

Is our home form any worse than last seasons though? Honest questionas i'm not sure.

Did anyone else spot what seemed to be either a spotlight or a camera embedded on the top where the tail joins the body?
Doubt it's a camera as it'll just be pointing up, could be a spotlight though.

I'd have thought a company like Tyco would've been in from the start. I hope they've upped their game when it comes to their panels, I'd better not go into too much detail, but we had to replace one of their systems completely at a site, as it was randomly shutting down their operations, which was costing our client a considerable amount each time it happened. It's been fine since we replaced their panels.

Sorry to be a little negative, but as the comments suggest, with that angle, the pitch doesn't look that close to the Paxton at all. Not an Olympic stadium distance but an Emirates sized distance.

I think the idea is to give those in the front rows, an unobstructed view without having to stand.
The same consideration doesn't have to be given to the park land end, as fans will be standing anyway - so the pitch can be closer that end.

Aren't the only people that have been right so far the naysayers? I'm more inclined to believe them at this point in time as the club haven't fed many truths thus far.

Either way we'll get there when we get there, but it's not exactly unbelievable that it won't happen in Jan.

Incidentally I just read about Lyon's stadium development..... sounds familiar....

Yeah that's quite worrying, if Tyco need to bring in extra people then its a massive job....Tyco are a huge company with hundreds of their own engineers/fitters.
Its the first I've heard of their involvement, have they just been drafted in to clear up the mess I wonder.
A close friend of mine is an alarm installation specialist who works for Tyco and lives near Chesterfield. He told me a few weeks ago that the word had gone out internally for volunteers to go work on the new stadium, but I got the impression that it hadn't been Tyco that had been responsible for the original installation, they just happened to be best placed to put things right.
