edmonton: Definitely trying for January
(as opposed to what some people are saying we wont move in this season)

I don't understand this. Does he mean "as opposed to people saying we won't move in this season"?

actually edmontons post came pretty much out of the blue, but i assume its in response to the likes of that kramer guy and a few others who claim to know that january is out of the question

please read that again then tell us if by row 30 you are only as far back as row 20 at ?
I understood what he was trying to say but there was a typo. Did you really not understand the point?
I've reread it and it makes sense to me, and I can't see the typo either but what I was saying is that to be as close to the pitch as you are in row 20 at the emirates you only need to be in row 30 at our new stadium, in other words their row 20 is as far back as our row 30 even more other words their row 30 is more than ten rows further away from the pitch than our row 30.:)

Fits in with what Paul Miller said, he said we'd be in by February which is January, I suspect he said that, by the way, because he had been asked about Eurpean games which start next again February.

Man Utd would be perfect, biggest club in the country, beatable and our last opponent at WHL
Who knows maybe Rooney will make a brief appearance for charity

Not a lighting expert but hope the light bleeding from inside doesnt destroy the LED effect. Normally id trust the engineering behind it but with the clusterfeck with the safety systems i am more sceptical. But if it looks like in the render then it will look pretty cool though
I don't know why they put glass behind the veil anyway? Maybe they're planning on putting up some sort of covering on the glass? Bit weird otherwise. As it is, it looks truly awful at night. As others have said, looks brilliant during the day.

Re what Paul Miller said, I listened to the LastWordOnSpurs podcast this morning, he said they were hoping for a low key game in February sometime as the Police wouldn't want a high profile match as the first game, he added that we'd definitley be in the new stadium this season, without doubt.

So if they don’t want a ‘high profile’ game wouldn’t that mean MU is a no go?
Confused, yes!

No it would not be perfect. I believe that a low key game as opposed to a high profile one with the inevitable fanfare would make more sense.

Cheers Coq, I stand corrected, I do get a bit miffed when I hear that things might be based on what the police bloody well want though. Mind you I guess United isn't quite such a big game nowadays, it's not like City is it.:)

I would have thought that whoever the opponent is for the first game it will be 'high profile'? Perhaps I am missing something. Surely the place will be rammed.

I dont see why not, the first game is going to be full capacity regardless, would be great exposure if it's a huge game on TV too
I could understand concerns for heated rivals being the first game but not Utd. There will be nothing low key about it regardless anyway because it's a massive new state of the new stadium, with lots of media coverage. They're not going to say "lets not cover Spurs new stadium opening because it's only...".
