Not having these angled veil panels above the entrance just look a mess and seem totally unnecessary. The other side looks great with with the clean lines.

Aren't they there to reduce the noise and wind sweep around that side? There was more than just an aesthetic decision with them, I'm sure I remember someone more ITK about the technicals talking about it on here a loong while back.

If you look at the plans they are putting angled panels in on the East elevation too. They aren't just diagonal, they pitch in towards the stadium and will carry on around to continue a clean line with the panels that wrap around the top of the south. In isolation half finished, they look a bit strange, but when completed will look much better.

If you actually look at the arch beneath it and how far out the veil above it protrudes the design is spot on.

And your looking at it from a very specific angle. In real life things are in 3D ?
