Its going to be world class when it opens but anyone denying the whole thing has been a shambles recently has there heads stuck in the sand. Well behind schedule, 3 deadlines missed already, the whole season ticketing fiasco. Its a joke.

Yeah, theres not much the club could do, but the lack of communication is absurd. Only communicating things after the media reports it(and bottling the initial communications as well), then the poor refunds choice. The club has been a PR calamity destroying all the good will they built up and then some.

The problem with the communication is that the club will only report facts. They have to look at all the information then make a decision then deal with the fa/wembley/pl then inform the fans. The media doesen't. They can make a report on a rumour or one piece of information. They don't need to be 100% certain. This means that the media can often report before the club.

Well call me an Ostrich because my head must be stuck in the sand .The only thing wrong is thinking the stadium could be done so quickly because I for one always thought next season was more reasonable .If you want to blame Levy for being an optimist then be my guest.I think his only failing is wanting it so badly that unrealistic timetable had been suggested. As for money dealings I don't get the problem if you don't go you get your money back and if you go to some games and not others then you season ticket will be cheaper next year.coys

Does the clubs facts include completely ignoring the supporters and the main soort the actual ground is meant for while placating to the nfl?

This kind of comment makes me lol.

The Club are building us a new stadium and wanted to do it pretty much in a single season - it was highly ambitious and didn't work out - it's not like they meant for that to happen that way.

The Wembley situation is what it is; the location and the costs are out of the club's control now but ultimately; where else are we going to go until the stadium is ready?

It'll be worth every minute of waiting.
Exactly! The constant moaning about having to play Wembley because the club has been late in providing the new stadium has become so tedious. We were fortunate to have the national stadium as our temporary home as we could have been located even further at a worse stadium or ground shared with another club. This spouting off about the club disrespecting the fans and this feeling of entitlement, without recognizing that the club is doing all it can, despite the set backs, to get us home is so unsupporting and in a way ungrateful. If putting supporting the lads (who are also displaced) before your own discomfort and inconvenience is too much to ask then just do not go. Simple.

It’s boring isn’t it.

This is a project that is once every 120 years so every chance could go over time.

We are literally months away.

Get down to Wembley and enjoy the team.

Just posting because I thought people would be interested in it?

Next time, I’ll DM you so you can approve posts beforehand
The conversation leading up to your post was others saying that we would be playing at Wembley for the remainder of the season, which I thought you posting this letter was in support of this information, which is not correct. I now see that this was not the case so I humbly apologise.

the Club is not doing all it can. Comms aside, there should be further discounts/incentives to maintain support for the team during this difficult period. But as we all know it's all about the money. That's why the Chelsea crowd will be 20K down on last year, like City was, and you can knock similar numbers off for the remainder of the games at Wembley. Shame for all.

Weren't Chelsea looking at 3 or 4 years away from home if they'd carried on with their plans? It's not an easy thing to do to build a new stadium on the same site...

What do you think the clubs intentions were? That supporters turned up to the stadium only to be told "sorry we're closed, they're playing at wembley today"?
The delay had nothing to do with nfl.

That is a fair point.

How has the build not been a balls up? Deadlines missed, season tickets sold when they must have known....advertising the CL and looking rather silly, more expense, advertising for more workers to push the work after the test event fail.

When the rumours first started, "it's only the Sun", sorry, but the fans have actually been let down.
How can you not see that you've posted contradictory points in a single sentence?

We aren't months away...if it's March now....it's certainly the rest of the season at Wembley.

Season tickets were sold with fans thinking the Liverpool game was the opener in the new stadium is the point, you must have seen the advert "The Only Place to watch the UEFA Champions League in London"...

You honestly think the club didn't know it wasn't on schedule before it got leaked?!

This is just so wrong, why the assumption? Evil’s post was in reply to my comment where he took 4-5 words from the whole post and made out from it what he wanted to - guess it was on his mind and he just wanted to air his opinion.

Now to set the record straight, there is no sense of entitlement, no moaning about playing at Wembley just the fact that the club could have handled the delay better than it has particularly the drip feeding of the refunds and ticket pricing at Wembley.

You honestly think the club would have done the adverts knowing we wouldn't be able to play there?

The club has taken the piss out of its ST holders. That is why Wembley will only be half full from now on

The people that don’t believe this are too stupid to have noticed or haven’t had a ST for very long

I think they'll do anything to get as much cash in as they possibly can. The rumours rumbled for quite a while before the Sun article and many were shouted down.

They couldn't not have known it was going to be delayed and that it would make them look silly regardless.

Look at the attendances since the whole thing was announced...the later they left it, the less money they'd lose IMO. Might be cynical, don't think it is though.

Plus they'd already taken the ST money.

The club want to get back to N17 as soon as possible. The delays are disappointing for them and us but it’s notsome evil plan- if it were it would be a very poor one by which the club massively inconveniences itself, adds workload, pressure and cost to fiddle you out of a fiver!

We all want to get back to NWHL as soon as possible.

Nobody is talking about an evil plan that Levy has hatched.

We are talking about the clubs communication being appalling and having misled its most loyal supporters as well as the club taking the piss out of us on numerous occasions in the last couple of years

This has all been talked about and discussed to death.
