The away fans might want to know more than a few days before where the match is being played and how many tickets they have for it. Never going to happen like that.

Away fans banned under new LeGin legislation matey. Fuck em.

Number of tickets is identical (3,000), and you don't have to do home and away sales at the same time anyway.

Agree. The date and time has been confirmed. Doesn’t really make a great deal of difference to away fans now they know when.

Unfortunately Tourists like me are not in the position to buy ST and attend home games every week, as most of the time am out of the country. That should not give you the sense of entitlement which I detect from your tone, that we tourists love and support the club only when things are going well. I have been supporting Spurs probably before you were born, taking in every home game back in the day, but now can only visit to support once in a while when am in the country. I am a tourist who is proud of the fact that I love Spurs, no less than you by the way.

No idea why BBLG is getting all this stick.

We should all aspire to be superfans like him
Playing at Wembley over the last two seasons has allowed a great many more people, especially children, to come and watch spurs. I know this from my own personal experience with my grandchildren who have loved coming to Wembley and are now budding spurs fans. This woukdn’t Hsve happened if we were still at the old WHL so we should be glad that the club has made this possible and hopefully this will continue to happen at the new stadium with the increased capacity. I am confident that playing at Wembley for the last 18 months has been a positive experience fir the club and will pay dividends in the future with a whole new generation of spurs fans .

The cool thing about the veil is you could completely replace it in 10–15 years if you wanted to over a summer. Which could give the stadium a totally different feel.
Is that why its called a veil :cautious:

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Not taking piss mate. Just some people doent seem to be making the connection (y)

They’re also coming to London, it’s not like it’s a logistical nightmare to switch from North West to North East.
If anything a last minute switch to Wembley would probably reduce their journey time compared to having to get the train out to Tottenham.

The whole tourist stuff is nonesense. If I visit any major football city in Europe Paris Barcelona Rome etc and I’m able to get a ticket for a game I’d go of course I would. Spurs are one of the most famous football teams in Europe. If someone happens to be in London and has the chance to take in a game, then why not good luck to them. They certainly aren’t gonna be a majority in the new stadium. There’s only 9k that’s going to members. I’m sure some of that goes to package deals and ticket agencies. But as said it’s a minority. If I’m in Barcelona and lucky enough to get a ticket for a Barca game I’m going. Who am I to deprive a Barca fan the same experience in our new stadium.

Couldn’t agree with this more.

I count myself lucky enough to have a season ticket, I was one of the 30k-odd there on Wed but also take any opportunity I can to be a tourist when out of the country (Ajax top / Milan below).

I had a change to go to Selhurst for our match there and I took it. I dont care. And i wouldnt care if one of them came over here and wanted to take in a football, baseball, hockey or basketball game. Its an experience and a fun time(especially football tailgates). All should be welcomed if they want to go take in a game no matter where it is and no matter the sport.

Psst - I don't want to burst anyone's bubble, but Levy wants as many "tourists" as he can get.

There are two things going on with the stadium - one is obvious: more seats. This equates to more people attending - duh.

But the second, slightly less obvious, is that Levy is expecting a much higher match-day spend, not just on ticket prices, once you are in the stadium. More drinks, more food, more club (or NFL) souvenirs. He is not looking to increase revenue simply from more bodies in the stadium, he will expect the per capita spend for each person to go up as well. So if concessions averaged £5/person at WHL, Levy will expect £10/per person in the the new stadium. (I am making up those figures, I have no idea what the per capita spend was in WHL, but the point is levy is expecting to increase it).

So - this is where "tourists" come into play - they will traditionally spend more at the stadium, since it is a one-off trip for them. They will buy more concessions/souvenirs, and generally, take in the whole experience - get there early, stay late, go to the Club store etc.

This is why you see so much attention to all of the non-pitch items at the stadium - Levy is making it easier, and more enticing for everyone to spend money while in attendance.

Pure conjecture. You have ABSOLUTELY NO evidence for this other than anti-levy rantings. You don’t think Spurs fans want to purchase memorabilia? Dine out after a game. We’re not ManU or Real Madrid, we don’t have their world wide pull. Or don’t you think the mighty Spurs can fill a 62k stadium? Tourists can get tat from the internet, or they can do stadium tours. You might get the odd tourist or 100, but 99% of March day will be Spurs fans.
