Not many people would've noticed that. Looks like it's just one line of seats out of position. It was maybe a West Ham or Arsenal builder who couldn't measure off the plans properly.
I'm guessing it has something to do with the away fans allocations. Perhaps they needed the extra line of seats to reach the minimum (3000?) available for away fans instead of splitting them across tiers. Regardless, it's now one of those things i'm never going to be able to un-see.

In the early days there were arguments that 60,000 was too big and we wouldn't fill it, now it seems we are arguing that we don't want tourists taking tickets because there's not enough to go round, well I guess that shows we've raised our level of optimism.
I also wonder if there is a confusion between "Tourists" and "plastics":cautious:
To my mind, come one come all, I'm actually pleased to see so many Koreans at our games nowadays and hopefully they'll keep coming during our upcoming glory years.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to our big announcement today.:)

The club of course want to build it's brand across the world so the Wembley thing will no doubt have helped. The atmosphere at games is mostly poor but is often made up by the clear enthusiasm of people getiing the opportunity to watch Spurs live for the first time and I have talked to many of these wither from abroad or parents bringing kids who saw Spurs players on TV during the World Cup. I think the new ground will give more people the opportunity to be there for the odd game; this might be Spurs fans without the connections or finance to get tickets or visitors. Maybe in twenty years time people around the world will be Spurs fans rather than manure or the scousers ... wouldn't that be nice!

The north lower slightly-left-of-centre gangway is really triggering my OCD.

They’re actually all over the place. The corner section gangways don’t look even either. One section looks bigger than the other. Defo kind of stuff you don’t notice till someone points it out. Also having a gangway right behind the goal seems a bit odd. You’d have thought they’d have had a solid section of seats right behind goal.

Yeah, it's this sort of shit that makes me wish we'd got the Olympic Stadium instead of the spammers. At least then i'd be far enough away from the opposite stand that I wouldn't be able to see it. Damn Levy for making the stands so close to the pitch!

You get a penalty against Spurs at their new ground (ffs Foyth). Your chance to silence nearly 60,000 fans and tear down their new fortress. You step back, breathe deeply, take a quick glance of where you want to put it, is that gangway slightly off centre? Slice it wide.

It’s not a gangway but where the segregation between home and away fans I think

Executive members got an email this morning saying their membership packs won’t be going out during Christmas to avoid postal problems. Perhaps suggesting that the United game would be a bit too close.

You would think for Exec members they would send by Special Delivery then they would avoid postal problems.

Saving it for after Barca as it’s a PR win/win. If we lose it’s a nice sweetener if it’s United. And if we go through they can wheel out the CL poster.

It's the split between home and away. There will never be an allocation of lower than 3k, which is that bottom section. Some stadiums have a row of seats which seams to be permanently occupied by stewards/police, but rather than pretending they are seats that will ever be used, we've built in the segregation. Slightly annoying it's maybe one or two seats too far to the left for symmetry purposes, but such is life!

Looks like it might be a trick of perspective to me rather than necessarily being truly out of line.

Unless the photographer was 100% dead-centre and the camera was 100% dead level in all axes, (and you can see from the gangway leading away from where the camera was that it wasn’t d ad centre) things like this will look slightly off.

On the other hand, the builder might have been pissed.

Wtf? Our builders wouldn't be pissed on the job, c'mon man have a bit more respect for them....they'd be coked up instead.

Test event delays may stop Spurs playing at new stadium until February

Tottenham Hotspur are facing a further delay to the opening of their new stadium due to difficulties staging test events over the Christmas period.

The club must hold several different events in order to gain a safety certificate, and are preparing to welcome 6,000 fans selected by a ballot for a tour of the ground this Sunday, but are struggling to fit in the larger events in time to meet their preferred opening date of the Premier League game against Manchester United on January 13.

Tottenham had provisionally scheduled test events for successive Sundays on December 30 and January 6, but the first date in particular is proving problematic due to a shortage of staff and police resources in the build-up to the new year.

Metropolitan Police manpower is already stretched by the London derby between Crystal Palace and Chelsea taking place that day and it is understood that Tottenham have altered their plans. The Times has seen photographs from the club’s operations room at the new stadium, including a seven-week daily planner detailing the work that needs to be done by various contractors starting on November 26 and leading to the proposed opening date of January 13, but that is now being revised.

Tottenham are making good progress after numerous setbacks, but the inability to open against United could set them back by almost a month due to a quirk of the fixture list. The club’s next Premier League home game is not until the visit of Watford on January 30, which being a Wednesday night on the eve of transfer deadline day is hardly the ideal date for such an occasion, so the opening could be put back further until the Newcastle game on the following Saturday, February 2.

Tottenham have not publicly confirmed their plans for home matches beyond the Wolves game at Wembley on December 29, and are expected to issue an update later this week after the Barcelona game. Being drawn away to Tranmere or Southport in the FA Cup third round has helped them, although a home fourth-round tie on the weekend of January 26 and 27 could present them with another dilemma.

If all the test events are done then the FA Cup tie, if we were drawn at home, could be the first game, 2 weeks after MU? Got to be a possibility

Couple of potential issues there. Firstly, the away allocation is 15% in the FA Cup - I highly doubt we want to deal with the security issues that brings for the first game, plus it'd mean very few members being able to go, so it'd have to be against someone who wouldn't take so many. Secondly, we might draw at home against the winners of a tie going to a replay, which would probably mean it'd be too short notice (ten days or so).
