What a joy it will be to see my beloved Spurs at the new ground for Champions League footy. Please please please get it done for February at the latest

Has anyone said why we Can't?
I don't think we can keep changing grounds, but now the group's are done, if we can get the ground open I'm sure we can play our CL games at the new ground.
They are introducing VAR after the group stage, so the integrity of the competition is not really vital, is it?

Looked at the regulations and basically in principle a team should play at the same stadium throughout the competition but it can be changed if UEFA agree - pretty sure I read an article a while back saying UEFA are comfortable with us moving stadium deeper into the competition.

No one says it has to be removed, I think a lot of people think it looks odd (personally I think its position makes it weirdly prominent for a minor stadium/facility entrance for a few media people!) and there is a rumour it has been (or perhaps will be) removed. But it hasn't been, at least on current evidence which shows it is now backlit (live cam 1) which is probably the work which was going on (adding lights) when it was assumed that it was being removed.

I have no idea what you're talking about. What are you taking about?!

There's something in the transfer rumours thread from JJ strongly indicating that the new stadium will be ready to host games at some point in January. Seems to have gone under the radar, brilliant news if true!

Good to see we are looking to strengthen in January. And since JJ got the summer prediction spot on, I'm hoping he's spot on again.

Draw is on Monday the last 16 game is mid February. There must be some guidelines from UEFA re time frame on stadium considering travel and arrangements.

I think my dream draw would be Ajax as the first continental game at NWHL. Not only because of the historical links between the two clubs, but also we’d have a good chance of going through! Let’s hope they top their group tonight.

I’m on a training course today on SuDS system or for a layman rainwater drainage systems. The guy running the course was the guy charged with marking our flood risk assessment for planning. He was absolutely damning of it and made several digs about how the stadium build is “taking forever” how we are so far behind where we should be etc. etc.

Also stated he took great pleasure in making us put certain things into our revised submission. Turns out he’s a Liverpool fan from Northern Ireland.

Although he obviously didn’t have the power to completely derail the project you can’t help but feel that he was allowing his prejudice to cloud his judgment which I suppose is just one example of how workers on the stadium as a whole are not all working with the best intentions.

Are you joking? You know you can just click the little 'up arrow' on quotes to follow a conversation back? It was suggested the prominent 'm' sign above the media lounge entrance was being removed, someone asked why it 'had' to be removed and I explained that it doesn't have to be removed and is, in fact, still there, so the rumour about its demise was premature. It has actually had led backlighting installed.

If you need me to explain any other conversations to you, break down some joke punchlines or otherwise use my brain so you don't need to engage yours then just give me a shout.

Matches:
1st Leg 12–13 & 19–20 February 2019
2nd Leg: 5–6 & 12–13 March 2019

We will host the first leg, so it could be as early as February 12, or as late as February 20

Probably just mouthing off but in reality has done nothing 'wrong'. Personally, I would drown him. That would be fitting.

On SSC. :woot:

After reading these posts, I thought that I should share this with you. My Daughter has been working for Spurs over the last 18 months or so, and called me today to say that she's going to be working at the test event on Sunday. She also asked me if Spurs are playing on January 13th and 30th as she's going to be working at NWHL then as well. Apparently according to her it's all "Top Secret and Political as they haven't announced it to the Press yet". Hopefully after tonight they'll be able to announce that there WILL be Champions League football at NWHL this season and that United will be the first opponents on the 13th.
Don't shoot the messenger, but with the work that her Company has done previously, I'm personally feeling fairly confident about booking my train tickets for Sunday 13th and to be finally able to take my seat in our new ground.
I could say more, but don't want to compromise her or her company as I believe that this site is monitored by Spurs.
