Must be an optical illusion, because yeah it seems strange. There is a picture of the corner flag and it looks like the players would fall backwards if they took any type of run up.

Can anyone who went yesterday confirm?

You know what's standing out for me in all the pictures that are being posted? Compared to other grounds, we are so lucky that Levy had the foresight to keep the stands so close to the pitch. It really, really makes a difference, not only to the fans but i'm sure the players too. It makes the whole place feel more specifically geared toward spectating sport and being right on top of it. Rather than being allowed to watch the game from a distance you're invted up close to practically get in the game with the team.

Love it.
It was one of the conditions Levy laid down in the design brief right from the start but I don't think I realised how well they'd do it. I think the word is awesome

Excuse the stupidity but the slope on the surrounds of the pitch - surely that doesn't look right??

Bet we don't concede from corners though.

A lot of stadium have a slop. However I must say the corners do look a bit tight but it may be an optical illusion. Players generally only take 2 or 3 steps for a corner. I’m sure they wouldn’t make such a basic error in design.

Not seen many players take more than a two step run up for a corner for ages. It will be no problem.

Not an illusion, it really is quite steep and not much room for a long run up.

Hopefully it will be a slight advantage to us as we will get used to it quicker than other teams.

Well we should get more corners then any opposition on average so I see it as a disadvantage

My question is about internet connection. Is the connectivity as good as previously sold to us? Free wi-fi for example inside and outside the concourses? Anyone have experience of this?
had no problems yesterday send pics and receiving text messages

Sorry didn't mean to post it twice. There's a considerable slope around the entire pitch about 2m / 6 ft from the touchline. Not sure why but I guess may be something to do with the sliding pitch mechanics.

So it affects not only taking corners but also throw-ins etc. I can imagine that a player sliding off pitch in the rain could hurt himself. Not sure what the grey pitch surround is made of? Not concrete or tarmac. Probably some kind of rubberised material that isn't too harmful if slid upon?

Anybody know what UEFA rules are on announcing ticket details for the first leg of knockout round in February are they going to allow Spurs to announce just 4 weeks before the tie is due to be played or will they want an earlier announcement.
