Man these pictures really hit home. I was very tempted to apply for this weekend's thingamabob, but I want the first time I see it IRL for it to be packed with yids about to watch the first match there.

:singing:
I wanna go home...
I wanna go ho-o-ome...
Wembley's a shithole...
I wanna go home.

Even the net behind the goal is in mid air. At least the keeper cant get tangled in the back of it like at OT. He'll just slide out the back into the hoardings!!
Na, it's not, there is a 'notch' of grass that pokes out where the goals are! The ends are part of the trays whereas the sides are the flaps that lift and drop for the NFL pitch.

Would be amazing if you weren’t allowed to sit in the south stand if you’re not wearing white.

Supply white t shirts for everyone to wear if they don’t have the Spurs shirt.

Create that special atmosphere, make teams not want to come.
We're not Real Madrid

For anyone lucky enough to be there, what was your impression of the intimacy / degree of enclosure of the ground (if you know what I mean)?

I know people have talked up the (relative) closeness of the stands to be pitch, but the rake of the stands has had to comply with modern guidelines and the designers have been reasonably generous with the leg room. How does it compare to Wembley on on the one hand and the old WHL on the other?

Seems from the photos it's quite snug on all sides. With the 3 other sides being stacked on top of each layer seem closer to the pitch but the SS seems to slope more as it's a single tier.

On BT TV Hartson talking about Spurs V Dortmund just said game will be at Wembley, slip of the tongue or does he know.?
It’s the same with most of these rent-a-gobs on tv and radio. They need to have one or two go-to sentences for every club and then they can pad out the rest with drivel and banter. The amount of times I hear them just talking shite because they haven’t done 5 minutes research into what they’ve been brought on to talk about... He’s taken a punt.

I was totally knackered by the time I got to my seat in Row 57 but once up there it was an amazing view. Don;t think I'll be viewing either of the screens in the north end too far away and partly obscured but the big screen to my left in the south stand is going to be amazing. I'm in the 1882 club so was a bit surprised at how high up my seat was as I expected to be much lower down.

Amazing if you want to live in a fascist state I guess.

And then said the Leader, McBollock Macfee,
'How good, how good, and how good it will be
If the White Shirts Unite in the Land of the Free.
There's only one colour for you and for me!'
(apologies to Dr. Seuss)

Slope behind goal at Old Trafford, more space for players to stop themselves from rolling over the edge than at NWHL at the south end should be safer at the north end unless the perimeter boards are in exactly the same.

I was really impressed. Hard to put into words but while WHL was closer, the shear size of the stands with the relative steepness makes it feel really close. Although the stands are 3 meters further away on the west for example, they are 20 meters + taller. So feel really imposing. And that is even more true of the south stand. It felt like when people made noise you could hear it bouncing back at you.
Maybe Wembley has made it seem better than it is, especially compared to OWHL, but having worried about this element since the first design I was not disappointed.

A massive upgrade on the Old WHL, and Wembley doesn't even compare at any level. I had a day to remember yesterday and when you all get in and see it for yourselves you will be mightily impressed. So much thought and hard work has gone into this and Levy and his team deserve the utmost credit. I am so glad we did not have cost as the first and only decision maker, as there will be precious little to regret at a later date in my opinion.
On a European night or a derby game this place is going to be a cauldron and even now you can see that the acoustics will hold the noise levels and give people a great experience.
Being tall I do like the extra leg room and the seats are certainly more comfortable. Overall, for the first time in my life I am cautiously optimistic that we might see a title win before I fall off my perch!.
