So instead of just 3 days to Dortmund sky decide to make it two days as the Leicester match is switched to Sunday. You could not imagine a more crass decision and sky are the pits.

Does the club not have any say in this matter? Objection etc? Or are we forced/obliged to accept the date change.

We are home to Dortmund on the wed. Sun to wed gap we can’t complain about that it’s often the way. Sell your soul to the great pound note ....you do as they wish...within reason

I thought I'd mark my territory at today's event...

Great picture though a little shocked as I was expecting to see you sat next to it after our chats about season tickets the 1st season at Wembley. Didn’t realise you was an ambulant ST holder. Think i’ll be getting a scooter soon, saw a specialist two weeks ago and to do what I hoped to get some mobility would mean a complete foot restruction x2 then 2 more ops after resulting in 10 months per foot.

Swear this is the most annoying thread on the Internet

I don’t get why people get so worked up if something slightly negative gets pointed out. We all know that largely it’s a fantastic stadium. But surely the whole point of this thread is to discuss stuff. Numerous people have pointed out the slop which seems unusual, so why shouldn’t it be discussed ?

You’ll love this one shady and this might sound really stupid. But the slop starts halfway through the goal, so won’t there be a gap at the back of the goal ? Unless it’s a specially designed net I guess.

What is there really to say?

I think the slope is too close to the pitch - but, sadly, my opinion does not matter, and even if it did, I don't think there is anything that can be done about it now. So, other than mentioning it - no use complaining about it.

I assume the league will sign off on the pitch dimensions, and the slope.

For what its worth - I think the slope is less severe than the one at Old Trafford pictured above - so while it is closer, it is less severe.

Yes we're going to have goals disallowed because the ball will roll out of the back of the net, leaving the ref no option but to presume the ball didn't actually enter the goal in the first place.

Take a closer look at the pictures. The entire goal is flat - the slope is built up and level directly behind the goal.

We play Dortmund on the Wednesday night after the Leicester game on the Sunday lunchtime. Let’s hope both games are at our new stadium ?

There is a slope this is so the advertising boards and photographers can be there without effecting the view of the fans. It is a slope, not a cliff players can easily run up and down it. There is plenty of room to take corners just as at old trafford and ours has less of a gradient.

Sorry didn't mean to post it twice. There's a considerable slope around the entire pitch about 2m / 6 ft from the touchline. Not sure why but I guess may be something to do with the sliding pitch mechanics.

There must be a flat area somewhere for the substitutes to warm up

Even the net behind the goal is in mid air. At least the keeper cant get tangled in the back of it like at OT. He'll just slide out the back into the hoardings!!

Just hoping there is something the other side of the advertising boards because go over them and a nasty injury will happen.

Really don’t think enough thought was put into the pitch surrounding that slope is too steep

It's not the slope that's the problem, it's the stuff at the bottom of it that will break legs

Easier to jump over than one at waist height.
