More importantly Wanyama and Dembele will have no chance getting up a slope like that.
It has effectively ended their careers.

Doesn’t seem as bad in this photo.

Honestly couldn’t care if a few footballers get hurt considering there isn’t any cushions on the chairs.

You think the spurs boys well care that I’ll get a numb arse?

There is another possibility.

There were no white lines painted when I visited on Friday night. The lines were maybe laid in a rush on Saturday. It’s possible some guy simply went round the perimeter and made the pitch look as big as possible. In fact the lines will be further in when done properly?

Not saying this is def what happened but it’s possible, even if it doesn’t totally resolve the ‘slope’ issue.

There’s no doubt they were rushing to get ready. On Friday night the Tunnel Club seats had been fixed with numbers wrong. They were 20-1 starting from half way line (ie. left to right) when they should have been done 1-20. I disputed my seats and the Club confirmed this morning they were wrong and will be redone as per the plan.

Easily resolved if just another minor example of the endless things that can go wrong with contracted workers doing things in a hurry and then having to do them again!

I was talking about the drop not the distance. The drop is far more than 30-40cms.

Yes. The advertising boards are what a 70-80cm high? In your picture they come up to the guys waist. The oposite side of the pitch you can see the top half of the advertising boards. Even if the camera was elevated a bit the pitch level is lower than the top of the advertising board.

Never mind the slope, have you guys seen the white things they hang the nets off? Imagine the state a player would be in if he ran into one of those at pace! They should get rid of them and hang the nets from pieces of string tied to the roof. Although they could be a strangulation hazard. How about inflatable posts? Or posts made from polystyrene?

The slope is not a problem. What concerns me is the fact there appear to be two rows of hoardings separated by a concrete area immediately at the bottom of the slope which is definitely unsafe. I imagine that this area may not actually be in this condition when a game is played. Pictures from behind the slope with no hoardings show a lot of space for any [;ayer falling / sliding / running off the pitch at pace. Maybe the flaps were not fully down when the 'bad' picture was taken?

Trying not to piss off @piedpiper by continuing this, but my thoughts were that the pitch on Sunday perhaps wasn't in full 'play' mode? And was in grow mode, maybe sits higher with the artificial grow lights? I've no idea on this but just hope the pitch drops down by 30cms/40cms (@Lilbaz ...)
