Just seen a picture of Emirates

It’s a poor, poor second to this beast.

Let that sink in.

We have a much better stadium - that must hurt them - ouch

We have a better squad, manager, chairman, fans, stadium and above them in the league, but after their game raising win against us, North London is supposedly red :alien:

OH MY GOD, what if someone tripped on the top step and rolled all the way down to the concrete below?! Have the club not thought this through? I'm concerned there will be accidents etc..........
Drama queen..….:cautious:

Is that eventually going to be a standing area behind the advertising panels in the south stand?
It seems a big area just for journalists.
And a standing area here would mean any player literally hurtling to their doom, would instead be embraced and put back on their feet with a few friendly pats on their back and some words of encouragement.

Unless it's Jack Wilshere and the crowd parts like the Red Sea ...... and crunch. Out for another 3 months Jack.

Emirates has been around for many years so of course it is showing its age now. They had a lot of success over the years too. We've overtaken them on the pitch in recent seasons and now have a new stadium. It's important that we continue improving and start winning trophies. Still a long way to catch up with what they achieved.

Look at that thing - magnificent !

Whatever the rights or wrongs of Levy tenure he must always have our respect for delivering this to us and future supporters.

And yes, I had doubts he was serious on building it at all !

Respect to Mr Levy

pinch of salt here required. But was talking to a guy who knows one of the project managers down there at football last night and he said there is no way we will be in this season. He said that Tottenham took all the sub contracting duties off of Mace and in his words. it has been a clusterfuck.

I might be wrong on this. But wasn’t Sunday supposed to be the North stand as well ? Sure it was mentioned originally.

Did he say why we wouldn't be in? Can people not get from the entrance to their seats and back out again?

We need a bit more context to these rumours. The bars might not be ready, wont mean we can't play. Some walls need plastering, the os doesn't even have walls etc...

The safety systems are the major concern and even there, there might be work arounds.

The south stand was the last to go up yet it looks finished. Not sure why the rest would be months behind.

Not knocking your info Disco, just that if people are saying stuff like that ask them for context.

Unfortunately not. I will ask him next time I speak to him. But sounded like lack of quality sub contractor from what he was saying

I agree with you with regards to the south stand. They’ve had an extra year to sort the north stand. But maybe it’s the east stand.

If it is the east stand a lot will be for nfl so might be able to wait till next season. No reason why the cheerleaders dressing room etc... need to be rushed.

I've just received a message to tell me that the electricians working at the stadium have had their contracts extended until April. This does not sound very promising but hopefully it is just to complete minor works that do not impact the safety certificates if there can be such a thing?
