I’ve been following the thread for the last 2 year and really appreciate the updates from everyone. Visited the new executive seats in the west stand, got a few photos so thought I’d share!

Does this show they've built up the corners so there's more flat area so corner takers aren't going to run up a slope?

I think something has happened there as it’s definitely not a straight slope anymore. Like they’ve put some kind of padding at the top of the flap.

You dont really need more than a 2 yard run up for corners anyway
If you take it left footed you run close to 90 deg from the ball so not on the slope. If you take it right footed there's enough space that side for a short run up.

And we are shit at them, so might help us defend better if the other team can't take the properly also!

apologies if already posted, but I rather like this pic from behind the cockerel in the west stand cladding taken on Thursday

Looks to be wires dangling off parts of it, I wonder if it lights up.
It has been mentioned on here before that the cockerel lights up. It looks different to what I have seen will be put in more generally around the facade, which makes sense.

Under a lot of areas there will be LEDs which project light, not under the whole facade, but I think largely under the open 'flap' parts. (Which to re-iterate are fixed in position, as you can see in the picture above).

However, if you look carefully in the picture (in the above quote), around the edge and around every hole in the cockerel design there is a very thin white line, you can also see, as referenced, some wires hanging off. Both those elements evidence what looks like slightly different LED lighting for the cockerel designed to light it specifically. It should look fantastic with a back-lit silhouette effect. Great attention to detail. I'll be interested to see how it looks from the view of this picture when lit, or if they'll be putting something in to hide it and reflect more light back out (but that's just my geeky side, which cares about that !)

One thing the slope might do is make long range throws very difficult.
Unless you run up the slope and throw just as you get to the top, using upwards momentum to propel the ball even higher into the air

Has there been any further news on potential test events?

Would have thought with the fan familiarisation event being two weeks ago that they would have planned in a follow up event to take place early Jan but I’ve not seen anything yet

Levy said he’s expecting a report in early Jan and we’ll probably know more by then

Many have touted it being the Newcastle game on the 2nd. You would think the last test would have to be at least 2 weeks before so that’s the 16th and that makes the 1st test on the 9th. Have to say although those dates seem just about possible it does seem a tad unlikely.

Doubt test events will be midweek, I’d go for 12 and 19 January, which is still a squeeze
