It's fucking stupid at this point to move into the new stadium at the business end of the season. I'd rather wait until the summer in all honesty. I don't want to be 4-6 points from top and suddenly we are switching stadiums and have an adjustment period when it matters most.
I really don't think we'll get any drop-off moving into the stadium. As Rose said, the players hate Wembley, and typically teams who find moving into a new stadium difficult are the ones who've just left their noisy, tight, familiar home ground. We'll be leaving a place we don't like, so the emotional lift will be enormous.

Whilst I totally believe we should move in to the new stadium as soon as is physically possible, even if it's for 2 games, I can see this season slipping away from us.

@nicdic - why the doh? What have I said that offended you so?

Who knows, we might even pick up and finish the season really strongly by moving in.
We've lost more at Wembley than we have away...

I'd rather move in this season (even if only for a few games) while we are flying than move in at the beginning of next season.

No biggie but I really think that it makes more sense to remain at Wembley until the end of the season and have a proper opening at the beginning of 2019/20.

I hope you're right and it's a good argument as to why we won't suffer but I'm judging by evidence of every other clubs results going into new stadium but our scenario as you said is quite different.

By the time we move we will literally have about 4 games left of the season. It's ridiculous. We were supposed to move after just 4 home games of the season at Wembley, that's quite the swing isn't it.

I know you get delays, but the delays in this one have been staggering. Should have just announced two seasons at Wembley in the first instance and be done with it. This has seriously fucked around about 40000 Spurs fans. By the time we move the season will be practically over.

Doesn't look like there's even going to be any test events in January then if we're not going to get an update on them for another 2-3 weeks.

Just fucking write this season off Levy, it's looking less and less likely we'll be in there now as that indicates to me that even March is going to be a stretch if we're not doing test events until Feb at the earliest!

First game in the new stadium could be Arsenal at home on 2nd March....

If ever there was a must win game!!!!!

Whenever we do get the green light we should move

Wembley is doing us no favours whatsoever

Horrendous place. Atmosphere last night was absolute shite

I’d be surprised if there is even 1 ST holder doesn’t think we should move at the first possible date

How would the opening this season be different to opening next season though? I'm sure the club have plans in place for the opening whenever it happens.

There's 6 possible home league games after the Dortmund match. Possible home Champions league game. No FA Cup as 6th round is Semi Final at Wembley.

TBH, I'd rather those 6 games were at the new place than Wembley if it's possible. Would help us finish the season strong and put some cash in the kitty for the summer window.

In hindsight, the beginning of the season was very optimistic but okay, fair enough it's just one of those things. I just think, draw the line under it, have everything in place and let's see the stadium get the grand opening befitting a ground of its magnitude at the beginning of next season.
