I’m bloody annoyed.

I think it’s clear that every single negative press report has been 100% accurate and the sources are good.

We should move in as soon as we can. I think the new stadium will give us a shot in the arm.

I haven't been able to get to Wembley this season, partly because it's a pain in the arse and an absolute soul drain but also partly down to...no it's basically just that.

Was at the game last night and my word Wembley is even worse than I remember! A semi final against Chelsea, and people were far too busy eating pizza and sipping craft ale/gin to get up for the game.

I miss WHL
It's really not the fans. Although there are more casuals who can go, it's just impossible to get a song going there, the acoustics kill them dead every time. Also, people are not sitting with familiar faces, and it takes time for those sections to build up the rapport to generate the atmos.

Wembley is utter garbage as a football stadium.

UEFA statement: "UEFA will remain in close contact with Tottenham Hotspur to assess the possibility of the club hosting UEFA competition matches in their new stadium this season, if the club qualifies for the next round of the UEFA Champions League."

I'm worried they by the time we get home people will have forgotten how you're supposed to support your team at games. This morgue-like detachment from the action can become the norm very quickly

Support the team. Not the stadium.

This is the stadium thread not a team thread. People have every right to vent their anger after forking out a small fortune. Refuse to believe that anyone saying this doesn’t matter has shelled out a penny. The way this has been handled is absolutely disgraceful.

Personally I've been fairly relaxed about the money, as I paid by direct debit, so I've just paying a bit each month and then getting it back a few weeks later. It's not really been much hassle. But I can understand that if you paid a massive lump sum for a few tickets in the summer, you'd be pretty cheesed off by now.

I would understand even one season delay. But announcing every month the opening is delayed drives me crazy. This is like 4 of 5 announcement that "comming games will be played on Wembley". Either people responsible for it are incompetent or the club is playing with us cause they know they fucked up with season tickets. In July they were telling us we'll be playing home in August! 7 months later it may (!!!!) be March.

Really, I can understand delay. But what the club is doing with fans is pathetic.

Whilst I dont need the money back to survive, I am more annoyed at the fact they took our money so quickly without batting an eye lid but returning our money through a drip feed process is arduous.

Surely they should have just given back our cash and then once an opening date is set they just let us pay per game as ST holders then for next season we pay for the entire season.

Just leaves a bad taste in my mouth... how they handled that element of the ticketing.

I dont mind waiting till next season however, id rather move into a 100% completed stadium than a 80% completed stadium.

This. Especially when all our money is sat there and they are not even buying players with it (based on the summer window anyway)

Literally the only good thing about it is the Converse outlet shop in the retail park next door. Although it really hasn't been good for the bank balance!
Love me a bit of Converse All-Star footwear. Haven’t had a pair since my last ones (which lasted eight years) gave up the ghost around the end of 2017.

I want my money back now....all of it. Shambles.

spot on mate!

I have £1800 invested in 3 STs since May!!

It's all very well people that come on here saying all is fine and dandy.....but I bet they have no cash invested in STs....

I am sure there is interest to be made from or money hence the drip feeding - me being cynical but I would most likely do the same also.

Excuse my ignorance but why are people angry about the money when they're getting refunds? I guess the short term out of pocket-ness? (I am one of those people)

The thing is there can be a great atmosphere there. The atmosphere against Barcelona was fantastic. Its a two way thing I know but I do feel some fans have just accepted defeat.

Sunderland had more fans at a league one game a week or so back than we did for a match ( against wolves I think). Its a little embarrassing. I know Wembley ain't great but in the grand scheme of things its a minor inconvenience. I would still expect fans to turn up and fill the stadium let alone being vocal. I can only make a couple of games a season living in Cornwall but I still enjoy every minute of it despite it being at Wembley.

Personally I just find the moaning a little odd. Wish I lived in or around London to see more games

Wonder how many world class footballers we could've bought with the money these delays have cost.

Probably not even one to be honest. We don't know the exact details but it was reported that we took out an extra 100m quid line of credit to cover the delays so even if we assume we'd used all of that up, that probably only covers the transfer fee for a "world class player" without even factoring in agent fees, massive wages etc. etc.
