Good luck to the privileged few that get to watch the Super Bowl. But it doesn’t sit right with me 42k have bought a season ticket to watch PL football. The stadium situation is a complete shambles yet they are inviting a very wealthy few to watch NFL.
They’ll also get free matchday programs when the stadium opens too, monsters! ?

All due respect - but the Super Bowl starts at 11:30 PM in London on a Sunday night (It would be over around 3:30 AM Monday morning) - how many people really want to go to the stadium for that?

As I understand it, there is a mixture of sabotage from guys working on site who support other teams, and also total incompetence during installation. This isn't third hand news from an installer or a friend of a friend, its from Mace themselves.
If I were working on a rival club's new stadium, I would still do the best job I possibly could. Professional pride would make sure I do. On the other hand, my Spurs instincts would tell me I shouldn't even be anywhere such a project.

How can professionals fuck up so much? Some of the photos of the wiring looks like I have don it, and Im shit at those things.
To wire something so badly that it takes a year to fix, certainly makes you wonder.

Questions and quotes like this really get on my tits. Asking questions and making assumptions on information based solely on hear say.

A lot of decent electricians I know left the job or refused to go because of working conditions and general incompetence from management. So a lot of the guys left are the ones who can’t get jobs elsewhere

Will 2019 mark the opening of the Stadium
or the number of pages in this thread
before it opens.
Could be a damn close run thing.

Speaking with some architects that deal with buildings of this scale, this is all on the construction management. There are benchmarks and tests throughout the process. If there was sabotage, it should have never gotten this far. If there was incompetence, it should have been discovered and remedied throughout the build. I get that there was a condensed timeline, but with proper construction scheduling, it shouldn't have mattered. I place the failures squarely on Mace.

However, I refuse to believe that the club don't have a more specific understanding of their estimated timeline. This had to be understood back in September, and the "surprise" at each missed deadline is anything but.

Just as they invited 6000 normal fans for the south stand.

Which has nothing to do with a privileged few watching NFL in a football stadium that was supposed to be ready 5 months ago. Just rubbing salt in the wounds of the ordinary ST holders. Suppose you’d be happy if they hold an Adele concert before we see a football kicked.

I personally can’t stand the NFL thing and think the idea of a corporate section created specifically with the NFL in mind slap bang in the middle of the shelf side where I used to sit ( meaning I couldn’t sit in the equivalent place unless I won the lottery) pretty distasteful and a bit of a slap in the face.

It is what it is though, so now it’s done there’s no reason why they wouldn’t make a thing of it. As others have said it’s just part of the new stadium so no surprise they are doing something like this event.

Upgrade your season ticket next year to the tunnel club they might invite you. This year you'll probably have to watch it at home. I know you feel left out but don't take it personally.
