They seem to be relaying the pitch. I find it curious as there have been no games played there yet, but I suppose there could have been some damage by vehicles on during the build. Hey ho, I take as a positive sign that there is unlikely to be any more vehicle traffic inside the stadium before we open!
That’s the artificial pitch.

Oh yeah, well spotted. I guess the first one may well just have been for the media and the real artificial pitch is only now going down. IF so, tends to indicate even more that the stadium is getting near to the completed stage!

I guess as a positive, the stadium will be much more complete when we move in. The cladding is almost finished, the cranes are gone, the exhaust coverings and entrances on the South are almost complete, and even the ticket office is looking much further on. If we were ever really going to be in in September, it was going to be a disaster around the stadium trying to keep works clean and separate from supporters. The last 2 seasons at WHL were a mess, it'll be nice to go home to a proper ground and not a construction site.

Re-laying the NFL turf is a bit odd though. If the original turf was fully functional, why re-lay? If it wasn't, how were we ever going to play an NFL game there in October?

That's certainly how I read it, especially given what Stac has said before on Twitter.

I have no experience with deploying this type of software, but why would the programmers being based in Canada make software updates more complicated? With a system this big I would have thought that the software company would do their programming in-house with simulated data sets before sending an engineer to install and test it. So in terms of the programming, distance from the stadium would not be an issue. Happy to be informed. :)
Programming a fire alarm panel should be something that can be done by a local engineer with the correct software, here's a link to a PDF showing their system software in 2012. From Stac's tweet it implies that this has had to be compiled overseas, I don't understand why there wouldn't be the knowledge to be able to carry this out by the engineers on site.

I suspect they've adjusted the panel software so that it can handle additional devices, I believe the max addresses on the loop for a Minerva panel is 127, in which case they would be bumping it up to 255, though that's just a guess based on what's been in Stac's tweets.

BEN has said on FTL that there will be a youth game at the new stadium end of Feb, guessing as one of the test events.

Didn’t BEN say a week ago we wouldn’t be in this season ? Situation is fluid I guess
He did. Obviously things change, but he has generally been right I think on the stadium stuff thus far.

Maybe Stac's posts the other day are true, and looking like if that goes through we can get in in March.

That could also depend on fixtures..Palace could get moved IF we beat them in the cup. Then next home game in april could also get moved due to FA cup if we progress
