Yes Emma Hayes she’s excellent. Is she a spurs fan ? You do get a few on the debate that are pretty good. Did think Liam Rosenoir was but think he lives in a bit of a fantasy land with “philosophy “ lol.

I've heard a few people mention that she is so I guess so. Quite like Liam and all the more impressive considering how dreadful is father was as a manager.

Is the ladies team going to use the new stadium as a permanent home or just as a rumoured test event?

Given how few people attend second division women's football I suspect the club would lose a fortune every time that the women played there. A test event is one thing because you'll get people going who don't care about women's football just to check out the new stadium, but there's no way they'll be playing there as a permanent home. You'd have to have almost as many staff working as there were fans attending for most of the games so it's just not worth it

It would be pretty cool though if they played big matches there once or twice a season. Especially as we have the tech now to see if a ticket purchased has actually been scanned in or not - so we could incentivise people to turn up with a few loyalty points. No risk of pitch damage with the artificial one available, it'd be great to see more interest in the women's game, and it might even help them in terms of their performances or in attracting players. We're looking good for promotion to the top tier this season so it'd be perfect timing.

Yeah don't get me wrong, I'm not saying they shouldn't ever be allowed to play there. As you say having the occassional game at the NWHL will be great for them and I'm sure they will play there e.g. if they get to the latter rounds of the cup or for a women's NLD etc. It was just the suggestion of them playing all their games there that I find highly unlikely for the reasons mentioned above.

Agreed :) The good thing is that we can just try it and see how it goes because going by memory we have planning permission to host an unlimited number of football matches. So if there's enough fans to make it economically viable (3-5k maybe? All in the same place eg West Lower to minimise staffing costs) we could start doing it more often.

They'll surely play on the football pitch rather than the NFL pitch...?

I'd think it'd depend how often we're talking about and how well the main pitch is coping. It's always been described as "multi-purpose" rather than NFL, I don't see why it couldn't be used for games not involving the men's senior team to preserve the main one if needed.

Here's one of the vids from that FB post. Yes I know it's shot in bloody portrait orientation, but still gives a good look inside the west stand atrium

That would be great to see but it'll be a while yet before we can attract 3k-5k on a regular basis. City get the biggest crowds at the moment and even they only average less than 1500. I can't find the numbers for Spurs but given that we're only in the second division at present I suspect it's well below 1k on average, maybe even less than 500.

Agreed. I think if you did a very occasional big match, made it £3 tickets and gave people attending 3 loyalty points or something it could work though. Last season for instance the Women's FA Cup Final at Wembley got over 45k in - better attended than some of our mens matches this season! I don't think aspiring towards a tenth of that for big games of our own if we're in the top tier next season is unrealistic.

Those workers must be absolutely knackered the amount of work they completed walking round!!

Still tons to do by the looks of it to make those executive club members happy

Theres no reason why the pitch would suffer, imo, they've gone to great lengths to make it a sustainably perfect surface - so for me, any spurs team turning out should be on the football pitch.

Though I'm not disagreeing with you on the viability, i think the multi-purpose aspect is mostly about non-sporting (music/comedy etc.) and alternative sports events (NFL, boxing etc.)... ie. The football pitch is for football and anything else hosted there can be on the multi-purpose pitch...
