I'm sure this has been addressed, but if so, I've missed it - so indulge me please …

Will having played a 2nd round tie v Dortmund at Wembley commit us to Wembley for the duration of our stay in that competition?

In other words, if we win the Dortmund tie, will we be able to play at the new stadium (assuming it's ready) in the quarterfinals?

Pardon my ignorance.

I believe UEFA said they would address when the time came.

My personal belief is that we'll play wherever we want if we make it to the next round. Moving the tie to the new stadium means increased interest/exposure. At worst, we get fined?

I’m not convinced that it can’t be against Arsenal. Why can it be against Liverpool but not Arsenal? Any trouble always happens away from the ground anyway. I think if it’s ready to go DL will push for it to open then regardless of opponent. The police can vet the stadium beforehand and the area is the same area so why would the police block it. It could be journalists shit stirring and adding to the doubt around the opening date.

the trouble does, but the damage doesn't. guaranteed they will attack the toilets, as they know they can't fight back. there has been trouble just outside before and with the size of the crowds and it being a special day, I wouldn't be surprised if Levy doesn't want it to be marred

Apologies if asked before, but when is the station development meant to be finished?

I can understand why the Police would want the first home game against Arsenal. I think we could all imagine a few numb nuts wanting to make a mark, being the first home game, and the last thing the Old Bill would want is to be found wanting in the event of any trouble. They would want to be very familiar with the ground before having That Lot play!

EDIT: It should have read "why the Police WOULDN'T want the first home game …. " DOH!

Their main concern will be some kind of system malfunction (“turnstiles” not working for example) resulting in both sets of fans hanging around the streets.

There is an increased risk of this happening at the first game.

I have edited my post, it should have read "WOULDN'T want …", but there are all sorts of reasons not to have them as our first home game in the new stadium!

I reckon we're gonna get the dreaded picture today BUT it will be good news, to soften the blow of not signing anyone on deadline day.

I’d read it as ‘wouldn’t’ anyway, made sense in my mind! You’re right though, a few idiots might set out to cause damage which may affect the club’s thinking; few reasons why it’s highly unlikely to happen, not least there’s only a month to go!
