Dortmund fans do not sound intimidating to me. It’s just a constant drum beat and singing along. Never changes. Sounded like a version of “roll out the barrel” at one time.
Same as United fans singing their version of the Stone Roses ..Waterfall...right through the Fulham match last week.
I find Dortmund fans boring, it's just background noise with some flag waving.
You genuinely forget they are there for the majority of the match because you become so accustomed to it

Funny you say that my pal turned to me last night and said why are they singing 'Roll out the barrel'?

Might not be the right forum but i was really impressed with the singing from the Dortmund supporters (not for the first time) and others who have visited Wembley over the last two years. I find some of our singing not very uplifting. Obviously the last two years have been difficult because the main singing support has been fragmented. Having a drum really helps but I have never heard us be a constant wall of noise at the old WHL. Whilst I do not mind a rendition of "Come On You Spurs" it is not an intimidating or loud enough song. Do we know if our supporter base have been actively been working alongside THFC to maximise the singing capability of the Park Lane Wall and the New Paxton Road? We do not want a library!

Goes against the grain but I was the opposite actually. I thought their constant droning on was not really helpful to their team at all. How do players react top a change in tempo to a song or a massive cheer from the crowd when its all the same the whole way through. Felt to me they were just doing it to make a noise rather than help their team if you ask me.

Edit: just read others posts. Glad its not me who thinks the same!

Is our new stadium big enough?!

Average Spurs attendance in 17/18 Premier League– 68,052 (1292988/19)
Average Spurs home attendance in 2017/18 Champions League– 69,454 (277814/4)

Even if we did want it to be a bit bigger - and I think that's risky given how low our attendances can be for the smaller games already and the increasing ticket prices once we're back - I highly doubt we'd have got planning permission given the transport situation.

It is a German Beer Drinking song after all. Although a Czech composer, it was famous in Germany first. We nicked it.

I watch German and French league games on the TV and always turn the sound down. Persistent drum thumping doesn't impress me at a football match. Can't see how it enthuses the players it's so continuous.

Would be a huge boost if it were to be open for brighton and also the cl quarters providing we finish the job.

Stepping out into nwhl in a 2nd leg v anybody (after containing the first leg well) would make it possible to beat anybody.
Gives us exciting hope.

I would be a bit more optimistic if we had heard about possible test events by now. I suppose they might wait for the Palace result on Sunday. No replays now in fifth round. It’s 7 weeks to the Brighton game . If it’s not then it’s not happening. I am presuming they get knocked out of the cup.

You are wrong, the day after the season starts it is no longer this season, it's no wonder fractions are beyond you. Perhaps if you had paid more attention in maths.
I’m quite good at maths, but you’re going to need to show your working out for me to understand this point.

When last was BEN accurate with anything? Always take his info with truck loads of salt.

To be fair he has been right a lot on the stadium so far, about things like when the seats start going in (when everyone thought he was crazy), when the trays will move, etc.

Edit: Another prediction of Ben's (from May 2018) that no one believed...

BEN on

stadium opening: no one know for sure depends how next few weeks go but told very unlikley test events now august and liley to be in ground end october/mid nov meaning play couple games wembley sadly

Listening to Talksport earlier with Simon Jordan, he stated that the NFL have made a 'significant contribution to the new stadium, in double figures percentage wise'. Big news if true, however I wonder if he's got his wires crossed as it was previously announced a couple of years ago that the NFL contributed £10m to the build. Maybe he meant double figures million wise, but he definitely said percentage wise'.
