Excuse me butting in but are they not seeking to change the name of the station, not the street? White Hart Lane will still be that and the station will, supposedly, be Tottenham Hotspur.
"The Lane" will always be "The Lane" to old gits like me as it's been that for more than 60 years for me.

how would changing the station name = a better naming rights. the company that finally signs the deal won't get anything out of it
Because if the station is still called White Hart Lane, it makes it more likely that in the long-term people will continue to call the stadium that. A naming rights partner obviously wouldn't want that.

with us literally being where we was before, anyone with ½ a brain will know until the next generation of fans take over, the stadium will always be "the lane".

Kids will call it what Sky Sports and Fifa call it. We may keep calling it the lane, but we're not going to last forever. Foreigners will not even know the link between the station name and the old stadium name. When they get on the train they won't see a stop called WHL.

Isn't it obvious? Consider the enormous amount of money we're asking for the stadium name. If you're the person shelling out that money for a new stadium that you want become synonymous with the name of your brand -- it's already problematic that it's on the exact same site as the old stadium, would you really want the name of the old stadium lingering there?

"Tottenham Hotspur" is written in literally 10 foot high writing outside the main entrance:

I'm really not into that red oval thing. Kind of ruins the stadium a bit tbh

the thing is, and I'm not defending him, but for him to mention he would pay for any upgrade, I reckon 1 of the zeros might of been an error. we only see that part, did the script follow on after @TheChosenOne screenshoot

Meanwhile, elsewhere, definitely not a typo.
