I love how Glenn is justifying this to himself by saying it's a good deal and he could sell it for more...

The Club can announce that we shall be freezing the prices of all Season Tickets for the 2019/20 season.

We should like to thank our Season Ticket Holders for bearing with us and supporting the team at Wembley Stadium during what has been a challenging time. We acknowledge the inconvenience caused by this unique set of circumstances.

Season Ticket renewals will open on Tuesday 22 April with the final deadline for renewals being Friday 17 May. Full details on payment options will be communicated nearer the time.

Agree, but the mad thing is there are people out there that would probably pay it...…..and they are just as much a part of the problem imo.

Great news. But what is this obsession with the use of the word 'should' in our official communications?

Well I can't make the opening game so got myself the 2 test events instead. 1 in the Park Lane and 1 Shelfside. I'm gonna test the shit out of this place.

Surprised how many tickets are available for the test events
Yeah I found it pretty easy but not sure if all the seats are going to be filled up. Maybe they're making them available but will only allow a maximum number.

Yes where are all the dedicated supporters , loads of seats still available , no queue you can get straight in without the donut. What happens if not enough attend , no safety certificate ??

Amend that when tried to get back in big donut.

I think some people want their first experience of the stadium to be with a full-house for a real match. I made that decision myself a while back that it’s how I wanted it to be.
Ludicrous. How can anyone wait any longer than necessary for the Stonebaked Harissa Spiced Lamb Pizza?

I noticed that...it’s just give, give, give in the life of Glenn, he’s bloody selfless that bloke, a real life hero.

We don't have that many dedicated supporters. You used to get somewhere in the 25k region for less attractive Europa League Group stage games, sometimes less - not even 21.5k for the famous Asteras Tripoli game featuring Lamela's rabona, Kane's first hattrick and then his cameo in goal. Of those a few will be less dedicated supporters who just didn't have much else to do and saw tickets were cheap. The hardcore who will still be there every game if we got relegated, will try for away games if they can get tickets etc is probably 18-20k. And some of those understandably want to wait for the first competitive game. So there's probably 15k who were very eager, brought tickets straight away etc, and now they've got to try and flog the rest of them.

It's the main reason why I think even from a purely commercial viewpoint the prices are absolutely insane. We're betting the house on being the new Manchester United, permanently succesful enough that we'll always fill the ground and attract support. If it turns out that we regress at some point we'll have spurned the oppourtunity to build a new base of fans who might stick around, including young people for whom the idea of having a disposable grand to spend on a season ticket is high fantasy, and we'll quite possibly be stuck in a half-empty ground or worse.

It'll be fine. There's plenty who'd go if the club ended up putting out a begging letter. It'd just be humbling for them which honestly might not be a bad thing. But I don't think it'll even get to that. If members don't sell it out then between a public sale, loads of schoolkids, free tickets for local residents being extended to a wider area etc they'll fill it for a one-off.
