Indeed why ? As said Saracen play on an artificial pitch every week.

I wonder what the split is ? Will be a sell out with tickets plus concessions could be a £4-5m event.

grass pitch isnt long enough surely. They must have something planned for the nfl marking on the astro.

I won’t feel properly at home at the new ground until someone tells me the Victoria line isn’t running the day of the game.

As long as they don’t spill sticky beer all over my nice blue seat...

Doesn’t the AstroTurf have NFL logos and gridlines on it?

Rugby pitches are wider than NFL pitches.

As our stadium’s AstroTurf pitch is lower than the grass pitch, the rugby flanks may not be visible from the East and West stands if they use the AstroTurf pitch.

Well reasoned and thought out. You make a good point.

Now get out. We don't want that sort of thing in here.

all these people saying it is a disgrace that they haven't sold out. Maybe just Maybe, like me there are people who have been waiting a fuck of a long time for the stadium to open and they want to wait for the main event not a second rate game against some u18 or some legends. I want to see the stadium for the first time in all its glory. not half empty. It doesn't make me any less of a fan. I've followed this for the last 10 years. So when I go I want it to be special. And I know that I will regret going there for a shitty warm up game. As a side I have given the tickets to a guy who shares the season tickets. so my seats will be used. But i can understand why people aren't flocking to these events. especially after having to wait almost 9 months longer to get into the place.

I agree with you and i feel the same way although i also understand why its important to get the test events right so we can actually move in. I want to wait for the main event.

What im intrigued by is there is an increasing capacity for the two test events, what happens if the attendance is not met? so instead of 45k youll get 25k - does that mean the test event is void?

The sections with the logo and the white lines down either flank are all that were marked, and they can be taken up and replaced.

Just out of interest. are people saying it isn't full as the whole stadium is available to sit in? or are they only showing 25k/45k worth of seats for the game??

Good question to which the answer could be yes. If the numbers are too low then I can see logically how the test becomes invalid. Anyway let's hope enough people are able to go as that would be a nightmare scenario

What about the yard lines and hash marks which will have to be painted on?

The Legends game is pretty much sold out. Just a handful of seats left. I'm going, cannot wait to see the stadium from the inside with 45k fans and I can't make the Palace game.

Basically i think the 45k attendance is short by 5k or something like that.

Of course it is a good question, I asked it haha. I am sure there is a tolerance factored into the attendances and im sure it will be ok attendance wise (hopefully)

Minimum size of a rugby union pitch with touchdown areas behind goal is 94 metres for the playing area and touchdown 6 metres total of 106 metres length and 68 metres wide , should fit in quite easily. Maybe they will roll up the NFL pitch and relay with Rugby approved pitch not sure if there is any difference between the two..
