Club have kept back some seats in the South Stand for members as during last years season ticket sale the whole of the south stand was shown as not available towards the end of the sale.

So we have to pay back about 48mill a year, but expect to have match day revenue of 100mill.
Then factor in naming rights, sponsorship money, TV rights, European comp money.

Plus concerts, nfl, saracens rugby, general events etc-it soon adds up

Where did you hear that plz?

It was in this thread around the time of the announcement of the first game. I think it might even have been the THST trust notes. I'm not 100% sure on the exact figures, but the 1000/6000 ratio would marry up to what they used to do before with the Bronze/Lilywhite memberships at the old stadium.
I think someone also mentioned that there was a slightly higher amount of members tickets available now then there used to be even with the increase in ST numbers.

Either that or I'm crazy and just imagined it all (y)

Apologies if this isn't the right place for this question, and if it's been answered already: But what's the situation for season ticket holders w/regards to the Palace game next Wednesday? Can I just rock up with my stadium access card and go to my seat?
I hope so, we don't need to do anything do we?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but I was wondering how some of you get to and from the games. As my name will tell you I’m from Cambridge and we have always driven to the games, parked a bit out and walked in. We did a test run on Saturday and the zones have been extended so far that I couldn’t find anywhere. I’ve now been looking at my options with trains, coaches etc but honestly with the costs involved I may have to rethink for next season. Thanks

I would hope not. I just hadn't seen an empirical confirmation along the lines of "season tickets can just use your stadium access card as supplied" or such. I've been away for a week so was worried if I'd missed anything.

I normally wouldn't worry about such spoon fed information, but I'm all excited for next Wednesday now and don't want to leave anything to chance. :nailbiting:

Same here, already made sure I'll get away from work early to beat the Liverpool Street rush hour.

Ooh, I just got a little thrill from the thought of doing that again. Fuck the Met line from Farringdon.

Without a doubt an investment that secures our place within the football elite

However this is not the same as suddenly getting oil money. From that article it suggests about 7-8m per year additional income available for spending after mortgage payments. Add in naming rights...probably around 20m per year....let’s be generous and round up. That is an extra 30m per year for the football team.

Helps us keep up on wages. Doesn’t mean we will be able to offer any crazy transfer fees.
....and I wouldn't be particularly interested in that anyway. I like the idea of the club being able to compete for high potential rather than 'Neymar' style transfers. But let's see, this summer will be very telling as to what we can and can't do. If the same excuses are churned out then I imagine it's not making enough of a difference just yet.

I might camp out the night before, like those weirdos at Apple events.
I can't fucking wait.

I used to get the train from Cambridge station but used Whittlesford parkway yesterday since they increased the parking cost in Cambridge station. The train to Liverpool Street takes you to WHL station. I pre book the tickets from the trainline.com for £7 each way so not too bad really. Not that there were any ticket checks on the way there mind, I did get checked on the train back though.

Gutted to not get a ticket this morning. It seems that having a + membership only serves to make you have to do the ticket queuing on two days rather than one, when inevitably you don't get tickets in the + members first round and then having to wait till the sales window for the wider membership. Fingers crossed for tomorrow

Thanks for the advice. I’ve booked the train for the Palace game from Cambridge North direct to Tottenham Hale which came in at £12 each using train line. I’ll just have to see how it goes I suppose. Thanks again

I like that it is sustainable...solid....real...not financial doping.

One thing I guess you can't put a money value on...is the prestige side of the stadium. It LOOKS like the stadium an elite club, who ain't going away, and should help in building our reputation even more, and so help in attracting up and coming talent.
