this'll do... all the other threads are bogged down with email requests...

I'd say its looking worryingly like the emirates... its hard to visualize it tho... also is it my eyes, or does the west stand look slightly lower than the east stand?

Really hoping for some sort of feature that makes us stand out from the crowd. But after this round of pictures, unless it some some of crazy "skin" around the outside its just going to be another new stadium just like the others.

if we get a new stadium it has to be at least 60000 thousand and a tube station and national rail station there too..want a enclosed stadium with a tight pitch...!!! better for noise and for visiting teams if the crowd is on top of the pitch, its harder for them to play.

Agree, it doesn't seem to have anything impressive about it, but i guess there could be some scope for some interesting design elements to be added later on.

I don't think though that a stadium can really be judged until it is finished and a game is played. Some new stadiums look great from the outside but have no atmosphere inside and vice versa.

I don't think we would fill a stadium that big!

It's difficult to tell if there are interesting features about the stadium because it is literally a technical drawing. There are endless things they can do with it.

look if we dont build a stadium that holds at least 60000+ its stupid...first of all our membership is growing by the year..the demand to see tottenham will get greater...in 20years you'll say why the hell didnt they build a stadium that hold 60000+...fan bases grow.. we got 60000 years ago when we played football at the top of the league.

It wouldn't hurt to biuld a 60k stadium and only open the top tier when required. We could keep 1/3 of the seats closed most of the time until the bigger games.

I agree, we need to build a 60,000 stadium. 60000 thousand (60 million by my calculations) might be a little excessive!

Really enjoying the bits and pieces we are getting to see and SLS has said he will have artist impressions at some point. The real concern is always going to be the stadium access.

I'm enjoying all the stuff SLS has given us, and am all for a stadium capacity of 60,000. If there are spare tickets for games, the club should give them to local schools at a massive discount, or even free, to start getting a new generation of supporters on board.

As for the transport issues, I doubt very much whether we will have any joy on that front. I can't see Red Ken agreeing to anything substantial, given the Olympics, Crossrail and his determination to take over the overland services in London.

Really? Maybe not every game but have you every tried to get tickets to Arsenal etc? We could sell 200,000!

an bases grow.. we got 60000 years ago when we played football at the top of the league.

Right and don't forget that with a larger stadium we can lower prices. We can get 45k at todays prices. If we lower prices people who can't afford to come, or can't afford to come regularly will. If tickets were £10 I'd be there every week as would a lot of people especially families who just can't justify £160 to go and see a game.

Not to mention that the population is growing and will likely to continue growth. 60,000 I think is too small. Our problem in the past is that we've limited ourselves. 35,000 was too small 10 years ago but the board have just sat back and accepted it. I worry that we'll out grow 60k in 5 years and the board will wait another 20 before increasing capacity. I believe that it's better to have 1,000 empty seats than 1,000 who can't get a ticket. Those extra seats don't cost a lot more to build but the cost of 1,000 fans missing 20 games + a season is huge, maybe £1m a season!

i reckon we could sell 55k and give the rest to school kids like they use to do in the 80s.

Build it and they will come!

I know a lot of people who go to the Lane never really look around, they just head straight up the High Road/from Bruce Grove or WHL stns/from their car etc., but it's not often you look around at the area.

Take a gander at the lane, but look at the surrounding areas - to actually bring any kind of line extension to the area would be a problem. There's no room at Bruce Grove or at WHL to link that up as a Tube station, so the closest viable sites are either
all the way up at Tottenham Hale or, rather strangely crossed my mind just now, on ground right next to the Lane, depending on the final design for the new stadium.

Now, Tottenham Hale is already down for development and so far the plans that i've seen don't include any new underground branches, or extension to the current british rail station that could possibly turn out to be an improved tube platform of any kind. The second problem with the Hale is it's general location - not close to the ground, surrounded by busy, busy roads - unless a massive under/overpass is planned to circumnavigate the new complex, it'll be like frogger trying to get out of the station on matchdays.

The fact that we have the option right now of building on the site to the north of the current stadium, rotating the new ground 90 degrees and continuing to play at the Lane in the meantime suggests to me that it might work more to our long term advantage if we propose to the local council a new tube station is built on part of the land where the Lane currently stands, once the new one is up .

It seems right now someone has to do something though - the local council want a reason to improve the transport links, and our stadium would be it, but we equally want the assurances of new transport links before we commit to a new stadium - catch22, someone has to break and make the first move otherwise we'll be stuck here forever...

Forgot to say that while these new plans are nice, they're short on details. The first one had measurements on them but this one doesn't. What I really want to know is things like how big is it going to be, how many seats etc.

Have to say, I think it's great they're going after the long neglected religious fundementalist crowd with the gender segregated seating and having places where people can park there car to watch the game is an innovative twist that the Gooners wish they'd thought of. Now people won't need to rush back to their cars, they'll be in them already!
