Forgot to say that while these new plans are nice, they're short on details. The first one had measurements on them but this one doesn't. What I really want to know is things like how big is it going to be, how many seats etc.

Overall Stadium size is 250m x 190m (approx)

Pitch size is 105m x 68m

Measured off AutoCAD

Same pitch size as the Immigrants, then.

From the first new stadium thread.

It was mentioned by SLS in a previous stadium thread that the capacity is going to be between 50-55 thousand, but easily expandable to 60 thousand which sounds good. Also it's looking like a direct knock down and rebuild as the stands are clearly labelled at the same orientation as WHL sits today. It might not be a straight knock it down and build on top as SS57 I think it is has shown how it's possible to build stands behind current stands and then knocking down and moving the pitch.

But basically from what I've seen of the from SLS (thank you SO much for what your doing!) I think the stadium looks quality. Basically seems to be what WHL is now but with three tiers.. 4 stands with rounded corners, not a bowl. The only difference is that the pitch is slightly further away from the touchline than it is now. It looks awesome from the plans and I'm really looking forward to seeing an artists impression of this, but I'm not that bothered about making it have a hugely unique look as this will be good now, but even in 5-10 years will look gimikie and out of date.

I would imagine a capacity of 50-55k. as said, no point filling the stadium 4 times a year and the rest of the time having lots of empty seats. its good to see the guts have been designed so this shows progress, and also this is the main part of the hard work. the outside can be whatever so that's what I am looking forward to. transport wise something will have to be done to cope with the increase and I think this may well be the proverbial spanner in the works.

I'm sure we could start work on the new north and west sections whilst the current ground remains open for business as usual.

The shape of the Immigrants was dictated by the railway lines on either side converging to the north of the stadium. We've got a rectangle, so there will be three storeys of office, commercial and community areas, plus the hospitality suites, with the stadium rising up in the middle. It will be an oval (or an oblong with rounded corners, as someone put it ) rather than an ellipse.

From the first plans though right? I mean the 3rd set don't really give us more clues.

Actually I've just noticed you can see the seats on the 3rd one! We know how many rows there will be, anyone fancy counting the columns, should be 1,000 or so?

I'm afraid there wont be any more info for a while. It appears the lines of communication are closed. Some sort of press leak has made everyone a bit jumpy.

It was a great info though SLS. Good work!

Back to the travel problems, surely the world's longest travelator from Seven Sisters to the ground would solve all the problems!

If the exits were at the top of stands there could be a slide for the way back.

Genius. A bit of a run-up, apply some grease and I'll be on the tube in a couple of minutes. It's a bit Charlie and Chocolate Factory but I like it!

PROPERTY TEAM APPOINTMENT

The Club is delighted to announce that Paul Phillips has joined the Club as project manager for the stadium project and related issues.
Paul, formerly of AYH Property Consultants, has a proven track record of complex property scheme delivery and was most recently the project manager for the Emirates Stadium.

Seriously... this thing is looking more n more like Emirates mk2

Paul Phillips in Spring 2000 while building Cashburden Grove said:
In spring 2000 Arsenal outsourced the project management role to AYH plc, a London based construction consultancy, which had been involved at a strategic level since Autumn 1999. Paul Phillips at AYH is the chief Project Manager, whose first task was to create what he calls a "winning team of known achievers".

"We only work with people we know, who are a known quantity, a known quality and have a known ability to deliver," says Phillips. "That starts with the club employing us - we were recommended to the club by an associate of one of the directors who had worked with us for 20 years."

And thanks again SLS for all the pic's, i did find it strange the amount lurkers and new people in that thread.

Thanks for all the info you've provided SLS, not really surprised that we might have to wait a bit for more news.

As for the appointment, well he's the project manager rather than the architecht, and if memory serves me correctly the Emirates project was delivered on time and on budget, which if is the case then seems like a good appointment to me.
