However QPR say they are about to start the design work - so given it took Spurs 3 years to go from design through the plannning process and then build it (with £45m or so), guess we will not know if its as good as ours for some time. May not be quite right to say 'about to outdo us' ! :)
That was the time-frame I was thinking, too.
I was kinda alluding to the fact that be a gap between someone saying they were gonna surpass us, and it actually being open, during which time we would be market leaders  Just as something that is state-of-the-art will, sooner-or-later, be no longer state-of-the-art, because something newer is state-of-the-art.

...strictly speaking the word 'it' refers to the last noun, which was the Spurs training ground :) but I realised the issue and posted a second answer too. !
Why you little...

It's amazing that they can't get any more recent pics on the official site than March, and they only uploaded those a few weeks back. By the sounds of it the place is almost complete. SHOW US SOME NEW PICS FOR FARKS SAKES!

Everyone boasts about their new training facilities being the best and state-of-the-art.

QPR Exec: As you can see this is our physio room, it's state-of-the-art.
Journo: Really?
QPR Exec: Oh yes, we have all the modcons, a bed, some bandages and the pinnacle of medical science; a bucket and sponge.
Journo: Just the one? I've heard Fulham are looking to have 3 of them.
QPR Exec: Codswallop, 3 buckets and sponges, who do they think they are? Doctors?

Still no pic update since March on the official site. Unreal. You'd think that we'd be tooting how amazing this 'state of the art' facility is. They can barely be bothered sending someone up the A10 to take a few pics!!

Wasn't there a story that we had a young Brazilian tree on a week trial?

Be really cool if they have an interactive tour of the training centre on the website when it opens next month.

Infact I might email the club to ask if they're doing this...

Why not a real tour? I'd like to have a nose around

There were workmen putting high wire-mesh fences around the training pitches yesterday, and it's all looking very impressive—well, as much as you can see of it from the car park at Myddelton House Gardens.
