Would it not have been kinda cool to keep/modify part of one of our existing stands and move it to the new training ground or am i being impractical/mental/too sentimental?

:bag:
The logistics and engineering involved to do something like that would be ridiculous and the cost could never be justified.

They could probably use the seats in the new stand at the training ground.

Levy has missed a trick in not having tours of the new training facilities unless I've missed a trick and it actually does happen

Probably wants to limit disruption to first team and academy training.

can be done off season. Fans would be happy to pay a small amount to see it

Don't think there's really much off-season at the training ground.

Plus I suspect they wouldn't want it to be open for people from other clubs to come and have a snoop around.

I imagine tours of the training facilities over the summer would cause constant meltdowns on here.

Imagine all the photos being posted of people arriving and the members here (double entendre intentional) trying to decide if it was Lewandowski getting out of his Nissan Micra or some bloke having a tour.

It seems that off season = The time that Internationals are played, and if I remember rightly, many teams that come from abroad actually use/stay at our training facility?

Do they pay for the privilege ? I'd bloody hope so. The more money in our kitty the better.

What have they got to hide?
Unless its the casino and brothel in the basement.

Football is big business and every club wants to surely do whatever they can to get ahead of the competition, so if that means keeping certain training methods and tools secret then it would make sense to keep the training complex off limits.

On a side note that came to mind with all the tabloid stories about Poch being wanted by other clubs;
I would really hope that the Club have learnt from previous mistakes and seen the great work Poch has done training-wise for the team and implemented a succession management strategy and put it in place to ensure that in the unforeseen circumstance that Poch may one day be no longer with us, we still have all his thorough training methods and practices documented and recorded so that we can encourage the next set of coaching staff to utilize those same methods when they come in.

I'm purely talking training and conditioning and preparation for games from a physical/mental aspect - as any new tactical philosophy that a new coach would bring to the club can only helpful to the way we play, and the physical/mental aspect that Poch has implemented can remain alongside the tactical side.

Thought I'd bump this (even though it's not even a month since the last post).

We're really starting to reap the benefits of the new training ground. I don't think it's a coincidence that our fitness levels have shot up since the training ground opened.

Obviously I'm not taking anything away from Pochettino and the other staff, however I think the facilities they have to work with have allowed them to do their job to the best of their abilities. It's amazing to think of the levels of detail that have gone into it, and clearly it's not going to waste.
