Note: not a knee jerk reaction - What I'm about to say is the way I've felt for over a year now.

Pascal Chimbonda. Will you please get out of our club. Martin, for God's sake stop playing him! He adds nothing. Nothing! He is one of the most overrated players I have ever had the misfortune to lay my eyes on. I just hope to Hell that others start to see that too.

Michael Dawson. I've never rated Dawson anywhere near as much as others do on this board, but unlike Pascal, who I would be quite happy to see the leave club for nothing, I'd want to keep Daws at the club, loaning him out to a Prem team for the season, while we bring in someone like Ryan Nelson or Richard Dunne. We need experience at the back! Daws has the talent (I think), but he's simply not up to the standard required now. He gets minimal stick on here because of his character, which although is very endearing, doesn't excuse his defencive frailties.

There are others who from tonight's showing don't deserve to wear the shirt, but that would be knee jerk, so I'll keep that to myself.

Unlucky? Jenas faffed around, didn't attempt a block or to spoil Milner's aim. Pathetic. This isn't a matter of coaching, it's what you're supposed to do as a player, whether you're playing Sunday-morning football or getting paid £40k a week.

Yeh, that was it for me. Total lack of commitment.
There must be changes, but I honestly don't know what will be for the best.

Bent was rubbish, look unfit, lazy and disinterested. I would sell him for £16.50 never mind £16,500,000!

And why is he not getting support from the midfield? Who's fault is that? The manager picks the team, playing 4 central midfielders DOES NOT WORK. Lennon on with 10 mins to go, what the fuck?

1 win in 10 premiership games says it all really, a club our of stature should NEVER have to go through bullshit like that. FFS we cant even pass the ball. How many times did we just pass the ball out of play? Football is about now, not last season, not 10 or 20 years ago, but now. And we are in deep trouble. Theres no way you can say otherwise.

The midfield's, maybe? Both Jenas and Zokora were pretty meh in the first half, and whilst Zoko, credit where it's due, picked up his game in the second, Jenas remained resolutely meh, to put it kindly.

It seems to work for Arsenal more often than not.

I think that the 125th anniversary night celebration summed up spurs - all our trophies on one little table - and that isn't likely to change any time soon.
We were abysmal tonight. Dawson at fault for two goals and Kaboul and Jenas between them for the third. No one in midfield could keep the ball within 6ft of them. long balls out of defence everytime even though it was obvious after about half an hour that this wasn't going to work. We lose our brightest spark of the season so far (I bet we won't see him this side of christmas). keane is no captain - you need someone at the back for that job. berbatov doesn't want to come on as a sub wtf!
the whole midfield was pathetic especially penas.

Well we can't blame Defoe or Robbo. Keane scored, Lennon had no time, Bale got injured, Lee was solid so who does that leave?

Bent, Cerny, Dawson, Kaboul, Chimbonda, Malbranque, TT, Jenas, Berbs. Take your pick, they were all a disgrace to the shirt.

Especially Berbatov. He seemed almost unwilling to come on. He can fuck off to United if he wants to play that game.

I don't think Cerny was a disgrace - but everyone except Lee were shite.

Absolutely horrendous, Dawson played shite, Chimbonda was all over the place, the midfield had no form.......

It was just a nightmare to watch........

Something needs to change now, and do it quickly.......

You cant compare us with Arsenal, they've got one of the best managers in the business who brings the best out of his players, and is tactically aware. Jol does/is neither, nice bloke but thats where it ends.

What did Cerny do wrong? He had no real chance with any of the goals, and the only 'mistake' he made was to get beaten to the ball by Faye.

I'm so p***ed off that I could bitch about it for hours.

WTF has happened to Dawson, I love the guy but this season he has looked like a bag of s***.
Chimbo, f***s about with the ball way too much and he is vastly overated!

Jenas, when he first came I thought he was crap but occasional games he has looked ok but enoughs enough. He really is not good enough for this team (and not the only one) and until we get a decent midfield we'll achieve nothing!

Clearly Berby is class but as for Haxman saying he deserves better.... I dont think so. Until he starts performing, plays like he cares and stops acting like a child he deserves f*** all.

As for the person saying what did Bent do??? Exactly!!
He is terrible for us and even if it isn't going your way, chase everything and play your heart out and maybe something may happen for you. He looks truely awful, always looking to pass instead of tearing at the defence and as for the pathetic shots he had tonight.
Anybody's nan could've connect better that.

One of the things that stands out for me though is our defending at corners... Has it become trendy to only have 1 post covered? How many goals do we concede from corners where both posts covered may save the goal? I bet a lot!! We did exactly the same last year and that's the problem, we see the flaws and do f*** all to change them.

Yes Martin has done well for the last 2 years but that was in the past and this is the present, its not good enough.
I notice the people on here comparing this season to last season as an excuse not to panic have gone quiet now.

I don't know how I'm going to be able to sleep tonight knowing how f***ed off with it all I am.

Pathetic performance tonight. I think Jol should go but if those players play like that then we could have Jesus in charge and it wouldn't make any difference.

Not one player deserves any praise and if we had any decent youngsters I'd drop the whole 11 after that.

*joins the moaning*

In my opinion Bale's injury basically f*cked the game for us. Not that he was doing something, but if he hadn't been substituted so early, Jol wouldn't have had to put Lennon on his place and would have rather played him (Aaron) on the right side. We all know that Lennon plays better on the right.

Just one question (just don't get mad at me): Where are Taarabt and Defoe? Haven't seen them for a while.

at least cerny didn't fall into the trap of whacking it long every time he got the ball

Which if we had players on both posts probably wouldn't have mattered!!

Please, please, please someone explain the reasoning behind only 1 post being covered.
