I had a dream where Sissoko played wing back in this game, did really well, then played same position against Chelsea and scored.

So probably good that the team selection is well out of my hands

So nothing we didn't already know then.

I heard the 'Sissoko for RWB' rumours today too. Surely Wimmer would be the best choice?

I'd prefer sissoko at wb over wimmer, much better suited for it

5-1 to us this time?
Seriously I hate us playing Newcastle. Such a banana-skin team for us.
Remember when we beat Chelski under Jol? The Barcodes then beat us 3-0. I bloody well hate that team.

Not sure that Wimmer would have the mobility to get up and down the right flank all game - but then again, Sissoko almost certainly doesn't have the attitude or discipline to commit to defending either... so who knows?

Yeah I guess I don't mean as a WB - more of a defending RB just til Trips is back. Sissoko definitely isn't fast enough to play WB unless Dier is told to cover for him. But then why not have a trained defender playing in that role if that's the case?

Great news on both Victor & Sonny's fitness. Really hope Spurs can get at least 60 mins out of them. It's going to be a dog fight up at St James on Sunday!
Here's my team, going with a 'traditional' 4-2-3-1 :
Lloris
Dier Toby Jan Davies
Wanyama Dembele
Eriksen Dele Sonny
Kane
Subs: Vorm, Wimmer, Sissoko, Janssen, Winks, Walker-Peters, Carter-Vickers
COYS!!!!!!

Or toby at rb and wimmer in alongside Jan

Think we well within out right to feel a bit nervous about the game. Definitely not going to be easy. But our quality should shine through. Last time out was a bit of a dead rubber and we weren't in a good space. Hopefully we can make a statement on Sunday. COYS!

Dier would be the ibvious choice for a defensive RB. Wimmers left footed and turns slower than my nan, he's not good enough for spurs, get him gone

So so excited, we will dismantle loads of teams this season. Starting with the toons.

Poch has said if he plays a back 4 it will be KWP. And if he plays with WBs it will be Sissoko. So my guess is that Wanyama is on the bench with Dier at CB or holding midfield..

I think he'll go for the back 3

MP usually keeps his cards close to his chest - and rightfully so - so best to ignore MP's thoughts on this.

Dier is currently the reserve RB imo, but he is also the reserve DM.
If KWP gets some game time, and Wanyama gets some minutes, which both seem likely at some point in the game, then Dier will play in at least 3 different positions in at least 2 different formations - as he sometimes did last season. That's my prediction.
