I've never felt so flat 2hrs before the opening game of a season. I'm refrained from posting, it'll just end up a selfish rant that'll change nothing. If it weren't for you guys here, Id probably find any interest hard to come by. We'll win today 2-0. COYS

I’m so bloody excited, I love the first day of the season. I personally want to see a 433 with both Son and Lucas flanking Kane and Eriksen in a more withdrawn role.

I'd quite like to see Eriksen at CM today and because of shortages in that area this may actually happen. Depends if Poch fancies Skipp or Amos

I'd also expect Sissoko at DCM, with Lamela and Moura (obviously) starting in forward rioles

Interesting to see if Kane starts up front, or whether Son does, with Kane coming on later

Anyway, glad the football's back; hopefully we can play to the best of our ability and not have an underwhelming TW put a cloud over us
Lamela is out injured. Son will start. It will be interesting to see the formation.

Chin up! Man up!
Let’s do the business on the field now. We have eleven amazing players out there today and this is an era of supporting Spurs we don’t want to miss!

Moura will be our Salah this year!

Thank God Spurs are back!

Will be a a tough game up there as usual, especially as our first 11 is pretty unpredictable at the moment with players returning, so any win will do. Reckon Son to score.

COYS!!

I think it’s the way things have been shaping up but I wouldn’t be surprised to see us go with three at the back either in the next few games, especially as we lose Son

Don’t see Alderweireld starting down to World Cup. Vertonghen will start because needs must, but fully expect the World Cup players to be limited to Jan and Dier.

Either way, whatever team we put out should be strong enough. Same as last year, boys :)

What because we didn't buy anyone? Is shopping more important to you than football? Come on fella the season starts in 90 mins, you'll be loving it if we score!

Look forward to seeing the line up and formation. Especially the CM pairing. Newcastle didn't have the best of preseasons and there is a lot of discontent amongst fans. Albeit nothing unusual there I suppose.
I quote Rafa "“When things are not going well off the pitch you can see a reflection on the pitch,”

. He goes on to say he is worried etc.

I think spurs have enough to cruise to a win. Keep JJ Shelvey quiet and they don't have much else.

I never liked playing against Benitez teams. He is a good manager and it always feels like the games are close. Not even sure if it’s correct, but i always have an uneasy feeling against his teams. It never feels like a walk in the park. That being said, hopefully we smash them. Would be nice to start with a good win, we really need it after our poor transfer window.

Also last season gave us a great goal when Eriksen played Dele in. More of that please. Really interesting to see who gets to start. Both formation and personel is up in the air. 30 minutes until our starting lineup gets revealed.

Dembele didn’t play much at the World Cup, nor did Rose (though he’s probably behind Dier anyway). And I’d be shocked not to see at least one of, if not both of, Lloris and Kane, our leaders on the pitch is our biggest strength.

Normally our starting 11 would be quite predictable, i dont think anyone has a fucking clue what we'll look like today.
This could work to our advantage.

I arrive in Edinburgh at 12.10pm anyone know a good pub to watch the game? Won’t have much time to find one.

Very excited for this. Confident we'll have another good season and get off to a winning start today.

Plenty of predictions of scores and scorers on here. Why not bring them over to the Spurs Community Predictor Competition 2018/2019.

Seeing Pogba start for UTD last night has given me hope for Kane to start.

Dele can be truly atrocious when not sharp but would love to see a front 3/4 of Kane, Erikson, Moura & Son.

Wonder if Poch will throw in a youth player as a statement about making no signings this summer.
