I think Arsenal should count themselves lucky. Spurs didn't have to do that today but to give the scum fans something to cheer at the end of the season shows how nice the Spurs team are.

To be clear at the top of the league and favourites to win it only to finish 10 points behind a team of journeymen without even putting up a fight must have been devastating for the fans.

Here's to Tottenham Charity Hotspur FC.

Its very clear that the problem has been trying to motivate and lift the players after the Chelsea result. They've been on the beach since then, or too many of them have, and they shouldn't of been.
It's not about being on the beach: they hit a mental wall and couldn't lift themselves. It took a lot out of them, more than we thought and explains the weird behaviour. I do think that Poch got it wrong taking off Walker and bringing on Chadli; bringing on Trippier instead would have shored up the wing and possibly provided better delivery.

Wonder how many people were underwhelmed when we signed him? He was a storm in Germany. Give him a chance.

Reminds me of Kagawa. Amazing in Germany, but not so effective in the Prem. I would like to see him get some time. It took Lamela a while to settle in.

With the striker position we are about 3 or 4 windows overdue, so no, I will not accept going into the new season without cover/competition for Kane.

And furthermore, given Dembele's suspension for the first 4 matches of the season, a CM recruit for the start of the season is vital. In the event we're forced to start the season with Mason or Carroll in midfield we'll be severely handicapped. Yes I understand the complexities of the transfer window and realise that a lot of business is concluded in the final weeks of the window but I don't think it's too much to ask to secure at least one striker and one CM before the season begins.

I don't really care about when we make a signing as long as it is the right signing.

We signed Soldaldo and Paulhino before the seasons start, they were high profile big money signings but were in way right for the club.

And I really don't see competition to Kane as an absolute requirement, I don't see us changing our formation to accommodate two forwards and I think we can manage a couple of weeks without having back up.

I honestly think we need 2 CM's, one top quality and one prospect. Neither Mason or Carroll are good enough IMO.

Then obviously we need another striker to support Harry and offer the option of going 2 up front.

I think we could get away with not replacing Chadli as we will have Pritchard next season and Onomah shouldn't be given up in yet.

I can't imagine it will all go to plant though, we will probably end up with Dembele from Fulham and that's it

I haven't seen the game but wow.

So disappointing considering what an excellent season we've had. Fuck the gooners. We just choked a bit at the very end but we have been the best team for pretty much the entire season. 3rd is a bit of injustice but I believe we will be right back in there next year.

I wouldn't be too hasty to get rid of Son just yet, he has had an injury disrupted first season and as others have said, Lamela was given time.

If the rumours of Bournmouth wanting Mason for £6m are true then we need to do that deal asap. He is no better than a Livermore (others may disagree but I think he is that sort of level). I think the same goes for Carroll if we got £5m for him.
The one that seems to divide opinion the most is Nabil. Reports say he great in training then say that his attitude is poor and then there was the issue with his contract when he reportedly thought he was one of the best players in the league (or his representatives did but that could have been the media distorting things). For me, personally, I'd be prepared to let him go but if we are moving 3 back up CM's on we need to bring in two I think.

Players like Chadli I don't mind as back ups but if we can up grade them and need to move them out to balance up the squad then fine.

We need two I think. Someone who is better at dictating play from the middle and someone who can operate as a box-to-box. Unless we can get Schneiderlin in

I also don't get any of the hype with Onomah, he has done nothing in his 10-12 appearances this year for me to believe he is the solution to anything. Not a trick, a mazy run a good pass, nothing. Andros Townsend must have been livid that Onomah was getting minutes ahead of him. Someone tell me he has been a world beater at youth level or something, he looks very limited.

Cant really say how i feel about us but look if anybody said to me we will be 3rd come end of the season you must be smoking the the wrong stuff.Poch will have learnt a hell of a lot this season about all the players, who is up for it or not. The likes of dier, in the middle of the park and rise of Alie and everyone was having doubt about Kane being a one season wonder.Next season i really hope Poch gets the backing from Levy to buy the players he wants.Let Arsenal laugh at us today but are future is much better then theres. We have a new ground coming and i know for sure we will learn from this and come back stronger. We have a really good core to build on from now and trust me it will take time and in POCH WE TRUST COYS.

Tripper wasn't on the bench

I suggested a sometime ago we should be aiming to get in players of equal or better ability than what we have in our strongest starting 11. Quite a few people on here didn't like the idea and we should be looking to improve the bench. Why do we need to buy midfielders if we have Ali and Dembele. Well today proved why we need too. We need extra quality and depth. Also options to have a plan B or C. It's also breeds improvement knowing someone who is equally as good is ready to take your spot. Also shows how a manager can earn his money keeping all happy and switching things upward chasing a game.

For me it is a requirement. As is cover/competition for Dembele.

(I guess we'll have to agree to disagree).

I don't think we will be up there with a chance next season and before I get labelled pessimistic, it's just common sense, we will be in the champo league and putting full strength sides out in that and all the teams in the top 8 plus Chelsea will spend proper money especially Manu, Chelsea, man city and Liverpool and then there's West Ham who have got a very tidy team and I also think Leicester will do well again next year. This season was the freak year and our chance but next year will be much harder to even make top 4 and I can't see us getting the players in to take us up a level.

Who do you think Poch was inferring of when he talked of summer decisions?

Obviously Mason has been poor in the two games, he may have been equally unimpressive in training...

I've been saying Mason wasn't good enough for 18 months and can't wait to see him gone. But if he hasn't been good in training why did Poch start him for the last two games? I fear he will stay.
