Is this the first time we will be seeing kwp playing as right back since pre season? I seem to remember him playing on the left. I know he can play both sides though. Just don't think I've ever seen him at right back on his natural foot

I understand that after Poch telling me last week Walker-Peters wasn't ready, he's been superb in training this week. Kick up the backside.
Kick up the backside or lack of alternative?

Don't get me wrong I hope the kid does well, and I think any potential money we had ear marked for RB could be better spent elsewhere, but I think this is more of a forced change than anything else.

True, I guess it is more a fear of the personal we are using right now for the formation, namely Sissoko and Dier and Dembele in midfield and KWP at RB.

We finished third with Dier and Dembele as a midfield two in this formation two seasons ago. Obviously there's reason to be cautious with Walker-Peters making his debut, and Sissoko hasn't been great for us, but I don't have any concerns about Dier and Dembele.

Newcastle: Elliot, Clark, Dummett, Shelvey, Gayle, Ritchie, Hayden, Perez, Manquillo, Lejeune, Atsu.
Subs: Darlow, Lascelles, Murphey, Aarons, Mbemba, Merino, Mitrovic

(In order of squad number, not position).
We really should smash that lot.

Happy KWP is starting, but he should anyway as our only fit RB.

Disappointed with the 4231, extremely fucked off to be seeing Dier in CM with Dembele with Winks available.

Why have Wanyama on the bench if he's not ready? What if we get in injury after 10mins, never understood that logic. If he's fit, he starts, if he's not ready, don't put him on the bench.

Sissoko.

I thought he was rated very highly within the club and being Newcastle we are playing not Chelsea would this not be an ok opportunity.

I still hope we get another full back but it is what it is.

What if Poch deems Waynama fit enough for 50-60 mins, would you not take the risk and have him on the bench?

How many subs play more than half an hour?

My point is why would he be sub in the first place. If it's lack fitness then I'd rather he did an hour from the start than a few mins as a sub. If he really could only go for say half hour then I don't see the point of having him on the bench. If it's purely selection then I don't personally agree with it. But hey ho.
