I was thinking to myself today who would I have lead our club next season?

Keep the arm band with dawson? or give it someone who is a nailed in first 11 eg. Kaboul, Sandro, Bale, Loris all four have a greater long term picture with our club.

I love Dawson and think his a great leader, but he will be 30 years old next season and Avb hardly chose him at the start of the season. So is it time to entrust the arm band with a 22-26 year old who can lead our club for many years to come or keep it with an old horse?

I'd go with Sandro for purely footballing terms, but my heads saying maybe Loris or Kaboul.

who would you choose and why??

Dawson will be skipper next season, time and time again he proves himself to the doubters. Kabouls gonna have to fight his way back into the team and I dont think its just Dawsons place that would be under threat, Verts and Walker will be looking over their shoulders too. Although I agree with AJW about Verts being a future captain, I see him taking the vice-captain role and the it would depend who's in the team over the next few seasons to determine who the next skipper will be.

i would love if the club kept Dawson as captain, think he the kind of "commanding" player that does well in a captains role.

i most likely will have Parker a vice captain, think he is a player who can be trusted on the ball, doesn't give away the ball and isn't one of those players that will go "missing" for parts of the game.

no question in the few season we will be looking at the likes of Bale, Vertonghen, Loris and Sandro to take over the leadership role, but i think at the moment we need our more mature players to take up the leadership role.

Vertonghen.

I'd give it to Lloris, but his english isnt up to scratch, and im not a massive fan of goalkeepers being captain

Should be Verts. Kaboul has been out for the entire season and we don't know whether he needs a lengthy period to re-adjust.

Has Sandro ever been captain before?
Kaboul isnt nailed on as a starter, he has been out for a long time and will need to force his way back in as Verts and Dawson have been done a good job and Caulker will just get better and better (i hope)

I think it should be Verts when he plays.
