The most entertaining period in sports. Who's your team, and who are you thinking will win the cup?

I guess I should mention I'm a Red Wings fan. I also think that the cup is Pittsburg's to lose.

Canucks. And we're not in it

Will be rooting for Sharks, would be nice for someone different to win it and they've got some great players

Rangers. A very Spurs-like team. Consistently thereabouts, never there. They'll probably go out in the conference semi again.

I've barely been following the NHL this year so I'm not really up with who's doing what, but the Penguins and Blackhawks are usually up there. I've always had a bit of soft spot for the Avalanche due to Peter Forsberg, too.

I miss our rivalry with the Avs, it used to be something amazing.

Red Wings fan ( support all Detroit teams ). Usually watch those videos at least once a year lol, what a night Fight Night at the Joe was. Red Wings could be the only team that I follow in any sport that actually periodically win things. Yzerman is a hero of mine and one of the best captains of all time in any sport.

Always hated they Avs but always thought Forsberg was one of the best players I'd ever seen. It was only much after the fact that I realises he was a Spurs fan. Will also never forget that best of seven thriller against the Avs when we destroyed them in game seven. The only fear I had during that entire series was Forsberg, he was magic on ice when fit

I'm actually enjoying watching the Avs and the Sharks now that we are in the east. Back in the day, I hated Forsberg and Roy, but always had respect for Sakic. I will forever have a hatred for Chicago though.

BTW, Zetterberg and Bert are back tonight. Datsyuk's wife also just had his daughter yesterday morning, so you would assume that he will be 100% into the game tonight.

That's great news. I'm hoping next season we get a good blend of the young talent we've had to give game time to through injury, and the older guys. In some respects, the injuries this season may be a blessing in disguise as they allowed the kids to show management what they've got.

I appreciate experience ( as any Red Wings fan of course has to ! ), but I like the idea of freshening things up a little and going with a more youth slanted approach going forward. It could pay dividends medium to long term

I'm still hoping we find someone to offload Franzen onto. I would love to keep Tatar or Nyquist up on one of the first 3 lines.

Whilst i appreciate that fighting is part and parcel of this sport, i prefer a clean, professional, non-aggressive approach.

So, "GO BRUINS!"

As brilliant as that is, they are such scum bags. Our final(s) against them a few years back were wars

Only reason i watch them - i've considered putting money on a beheading at some point in the near future, it's only really a matter of time.

Heh, went looking for some Bruintality (see what i did there? :giggle:) on the toob, found some angry Canucks fan has compiled a video or three - that check into the upright on Pacioretty (about 1.30 in) is just amazing.

First match of the semi-finals today. Anyone watching? Hoping that Montreal start strong and get away with a win tonight.
