No NDP, OS or expanding WHL, would leasing Wembley be acceptable to you?

Apart from the pitch I love Wembley as a Stadium, but would hate Spurs to be based there

How can you love a football arena that has awful atmosphere and for what was specifically designed as the best football stadium in the world, an absolutely awful viewing position for most of the ground. So far away from the action it's unreal.

Would much rather we stay at WHL than any other option, even if this means we don't redevelop in the current climate, after all, it hasn't really harmed our champions league ambitions to date has it! Let's not be short-termist here, the decision that is made will affect the next 100 years of the club.

This was only meant as a light-hearted distraction. Sorry to unsettle your already frayed nerves ELY:) Surprised to see so many actually go for the idea and at the same time if the state of the pitch is a major worry that in itself can be fixed. I'm only playing devils advocate here, after all, whoever thought we would conside Hackney/Stratford:shrug:

Wembley is probably the worst footballing stadium I have ever been to. It's generally one of the worst stadiums for any purpose.

Wembley pisses all over every ground I've been to for facilities. It's major let down is the distance to the pitch from the front rows behind the goals, awful. Stupidly paid for them seats twice although once was half price.

As for the atmosphere, that's created by the people that go. We have seen fans at Wembley creating an atmosphere, maybe not at your England matches but at domestic games there have certainly been some buzzes around the ground. It's all about the fans on the day.

As for the playing at Wembley, it won't ever happen!

Gentlemen, I think that the OP provides incontrovertible proof that living upside-down for many years plays merry hell with your sense of geography and direction.
