No NDP, OS or expanding WHL, would leasing Wembley be acceptable to you?

Would Wembley be an acceptable alternative if the above alternatives don't work out?

It is quite possible imo that all of the above eventuate. Some have made much of the eastish location of the OS which is 4.94 miles from WHL. Wembley is 9.75 miles from WHL and it's postcode is HA9 OWS. Would it be a more acceptable alternative if the lease was a long one?

If they made the seats blue...

No it wouldn't, because the pitch is shit and wouldn't cope with 20+ matches

This has as much relevance as asking if we'd like to play in the garden of Buckingham Palace as Wembley has a maximum use clause that limits the number of events held there and would not allow a team to use it as their home ground.

Play at a stadium with a statue of Bobby Moore in front of?

No thanks.

And no to sharing the Emirates either, despite that being 4 miles away.

Wouldn't mind - but think we would lose out on a lot of sponsorship deals and naming rights. As they would be dictated by the fa.

Wasn't a move to Wembley actually seriously considered a few years back? I don't think it was permanent but definitely for a couple of years whilst a new ground in Tottenham was being built.

I wouldn't be against it if it was only whilst a new ground was being built (not that that's even an option now with the plans for the NDP) but the fact that the pitch is so shit would really put me off. One game against Pompey last season was bad enough, imagine doing that week in week out!

If you have been there, then I would be amazed if you voted "yes". Atrocious stadium.

The Reebok is a nice, compact little stadium, p'raps we could play there...the colours aren't even too dissimilar (especially in B&W)

Agreed, there can't be a single yes vote from anyone who's been there. It's not much better than the OS is likely to be with the running track.

People shouldn't really vote if they don't know what they're voting on.

The main reason I'd be over the moon with this is because I grew up a few streets away from the two towers of Wembley Stadium (we even had a police officer stationed to the bottom of our road to keep drunk football/ Queen/ Bryan Adams fans from bothering the residents).

I don't live there anymore, but I'd be delighted to see us play at the home of world football.

Plus there's a sh*t-ton of Spurs fans in NW London and Wembley Park tube station is well easy to get to.

Having said all of this, will never happen.

Best cases scenario is that we win the Olympic Site bid, then ditch it once Haringey council shit their pants and actually work *with* us and TFL to make the NDP a financially viable option.

As commented, Wembley's turf is terrible. I suppose with our award winning groundstaff that would be rectified, but no. Besides, near 10 miles to NW London is even worse then 5 miles to East London, no?

I am sure Levy understands how angry supporters will be on the results of certain bids. I just hope the redevolpment of WHL is his main ambition. Will it affect our performances perhaps, i do not know.
