Our big chance, we fail to seize it. We don't believe as a team, as a club, that winning is what we should do at Anfield in Liverpool's current predicament.
Our big players fail to show up- Modric was like a little boy lost, Defoe not much better.

Meanwhile at the Emirates, Arsenal lacking first choice strikers, with other injuries and with two players in Africa, go two down and come back to win.

They believe they must and they will.

If we are to achieve anything, we must get that belief from somewhere.

Unfortunately it's kind of true, they go 2 down and have the belief to come back and win 4-2 to send them top.

We go a goal down and only come out of it with hard luck stories, just typical really.

Oh well let's just hope we can bounce back, if we wise up then we can still achieve something good this season.

Sickening. Especially as I was in the Sports Cafe in Haymarket for it, surrounded by Gooners as they were showing the Spurs, Arse and Villa games all at once. Everyone was having a good time but for the silent Spurs (I presume there were others there but it was difficult to tell) :-(

No leaders on the park. Players need direction outside half time team talk if it's going tits up and it was evident that there was little encouragement and drive on the park.

We need a leader.

agree totally, typical spurs performance away to a top 4 side..lots of pretty possesion,no end product, and of course, the customary shocking refereeing decision, not an excuse, but a FACT.

We need a leader both on and off the pitch. As crucial as the game was, and we were only 1-0 down, HR was there slumped in his Recaro seat with his hands arms crossed. The fat Spanish waiter was there on the touch line barking out orders making adjustments to his team all the time.

Come the end of the season we will yet AGAIN have our hard luck stories, the Arse will be in the open top bus parading the PL trophy down the streets of N.London imho. I'm bloody sick to death of us accepting bullshit performances like that. We bottled it away against Utd's B team a month ago and have done so again. Because we do so ALL the time alot of fans accept that, why should we...? When Arse, Pool, Utd or Chelsea lose or draw a game it's a absolute tragedy to them, we just accept it and the roll out the hard luck stories. That mentality wins you sweet FA in life.....

Sadly the closest thang we have is Ledders (who I don't even think should be playing) and in the great 'Should Ledders be Captain' debate of a few years ago I answered in the negatory.

Should be a midfielder, and, for all his positives, it doesn't seem to be Wilson either. Now I know Sandro is supposed to be fan-dabby-tastic (if he ever arrives), but is he really gonna come in and grab the team, and games, by the scruff of the neck:shrug:

Wouldn't it be, like, real amazing if Jamie O. came into the team and started to fulfill that function - he might just have it in 'im (as the actress said to the bishop:eek:mg:).
