Massive news! Hopefully we'll hear something about naming rights once things get rolling. I know Levy gets a lot of stick and it's sometimes deserved, but if he gets this stadium built then he will have truly layed the foundations for any future success we might have. Well done Spurs and keep up the good work.

Please read the small print. EJG on Skyscrapercity.com noticed this:

Having a read of the full letter, it looks like the talk of wanting to modify the S106 were correct:

Quote:
4. The Inspector recommended (IR 9.2) that the Order should not be confirmed or that, in the event that the Secretary of State is minded to confirm the Order, he should confirm the Order with modifications subject to receipt of a satisfactory s106 agreement. For the reasons given below, the Secretary of State disagrees with the Inspector’s recommendations and concludes that the Order should be confirmed with modifications.
Quote:
8. The Inspector has recommended that, in the absence of a further planning obligation, the Order should not be confirmed. However, in the event that the Secretary of State is minded to confirm the Order, he recommended that the London Borough of Haringey (the Council) be canvassed to see whether the Council and Tottenham Hotspur Football Club (the Club) could enter into a new s106 agreement, cancelling the second s106 agreement (of 29 March 2012 - IR 3.10) and reinstating the package of measures in the original s106 agreement, including the requirement for affordable housing. He recommended that, subject to receipt of such an agreement, the Order should be confirmed with modifications (IR9.2).

This could be the best thing that has happened to us in years, to progress and really become challengers we need a bigger stadium.

Do we have a definitive final drawing for the stadium now, and is their a link to it?

Not yet. As far as we know the original drawings are what we are going with. But there are a lot of rumours that they have changed. Edmonton and others have hinted at this so there is good reason to believe there will be at least some tweaks.

A flock of tweaks or a gaggle?

I'd agree with Lilbaz. The comment in the announcement "future-proofed and optimised" would indicate something has changed so I'd assume that is allowing the potential expansion in the future

I don't care about what it'll look like, I don't care how many seats it'll have, I don't care if it has a south facing garden.

I just want to know whether those fucking ****s, aka Archway Steel got fuck all more than we offered them.

Fantastic news this could be a game changer for us in the future.
No could about it. The revenue increase will be enormous. Not just added gate receipts, but also sponsorship/naming rights, rental return on commercial property, sales of residential property and asset appreciation. THFC now more or less owns 20 acres of London.
