...I just want to know whether those fucking ****s, aka Archway Steel got fuck all more than we offered them.

Perhaps I'm taking your post more seriously than I should, but 'we' didn't 'offer' Archway anything. Haringey Council served a CPO based on a valuation of Archway's land and premises. The CPO has been upheld, so Archway are getting whatever it said in the valuation ... less their legal costs in contesting the CPO.

The CPO was upheld based on the merits of the overall regeneration scheme - not THFC's stadium. And it's the council purchasing Archway's land, not THFC, although I expect that it will be transferred on to whatever company THFC creates to undertake the the NDP development.

We only applied for the cpo because they wouldn't accept the deal we put to them over a year ago.

Fantastic news it was very frustrating being in limbo like that. Will be very interesting to see which interim stadium is used as well.

These baby steps have went on for far too long, I'm reserving any excitement for when we actually break ground. It took the scum 3 years to build from breaking ground. In and playing for Summer 2017? I am slightly dubious.

Agreed. I still don't believe we'll have a stadium while levy is in charge. Nothing against him, but I've suspected all along he just wants us in a strong position so he can sell up at a profit.

Many pople have suggested this over many years and I have always said that ENIC would never sell the club until it had secured planning consent for a new stadium, because that's what would add value to the asset they had acquired and that's what ENIC do: buy, add value and then sell.

Once we had planning consent, the reasoning changed, because of economic conditions: the development had planning consent, but wasn't viable, so it was a bad time to sell.

Now it is ready to proceed and it seems that it is viable enough to attract funding, so the reasoning has to change again: I'm not sure exactly how they're funding the NDP, but it's very likely that quite a bit of the finance has been arranged specifically for ENIC and/or by Joe Lewis and would not be available on the same terms for a new owner. Also, they're already quite a way down the road toward tendering the main stadium build and building it out will add a lot more value to THFC.

So I think they'll prefer to build the stadium before they sell the club. Depending on the state of the residential market when the stadium is finished, they might also prefer to build out and sell off the housing in Phase 3 before selling the club.

Eventually, there will be a time when the market conditions are such that realising their investment will outweigh ENIC's sentimental attachment to THFC. But I don't think that's now.

I've seen different people suggesting that the desire is to actually move into the new stadium in 2017/18, with us playing elsewhere in 2016/17.

So before that, we have 2014/15, 2015/16 & the 'on the road season' 2016/17.. Is that really too short a timescale?

My point was more, it took the scum 3 years from breaking ground and as far as I'm aware their build went relatively hitch free, we've yet to break ground yet Summer 2017 has been mentioned as a date for us to be in and playing by.

I'm probably a bit doubtful unless they break ground very very soon indeed.

Maybe we will break ground very very soon indeed :sneaky:
