The next England friendly will be shortly upon us and again we are seeing the absolute contempt with which the big English stars treat the national team. I know it's just a friendly, and a badly timed one at that, but am I being just a tad cynical when I read this morning that Gerrard has pulled out due to an 'injury'?

How many more will follow suit before kick off tomorrow I wonder? All I can say is, you can run off now and bet your house that Gerrard will be playing in the first game of the season against us. Should we just pull Defoe out to save him from fatigue and possible injury? To keep things on a level playing field then the answer is probably yes.

van bommel and van bronckhorst have also pulled out while sneijder and robben may come from the bench, they've played with madrid on sunday against washington dc.

Foster's out of the squad as well.

I predict that Rio, Rooney, Barry and Glen Johnson will also pull out.

they haven't got much time left, the friendly is tomorrow! :p

both teams have won all their qualifying matches and while holland are already through, england are also guaranteed to qualify.

this will be a prestige match both teams don't want to lose, even when it's only a friendly.
