Had a call today from the above number wanting to know if I would like a West Ham credit card. When I said I wasn't a West Ham fan she knew I was a Spurs fan because everyone she rang today was a Spurs fan.

Do you think this is a West Ham fan having a laugh.

Got a call today asking for my dad, I told them he was away on business, and asked who it was and they said "o its Claire (or something) from West Ham" I thort it was Spurs calling and just having a laugh, and she was gonna go "only joking, its Claire from Spurs"

but alas, she just goes "is there a problem?" and I go, "west ham?" and she goes "yes" and hung up?

Yes. Got the call on Monday. I asked how they got my number and was told it was because I'd ordered West Ham merchandise or match tickets recently. Eek

I expect some Credit Card company has got their Spurs and West Ham lists mixed up.

Tho it seems bizarre that of all people to buy/steal/use this data, it would be West Ham... surely they know at the very most 0.0001% of Spurs fans are even gonna be remotely interested in a Spam credit card :lol:

Think someones idea that the company that does Spurs credit cards must also do Spams... and they've been mixed/combined somehow!

Anyone get one today... or do you think they've worked it out yet? :lol:

I think I may contact the club if I get the time, just incase it is something more sinister!

the number is for capital 1 (capitol 1 :shrug

so they will already have your details, and maybe it is some wet spam fans working there that have found some spurs fans and are abusing their positions.

just answer the questions calmly and say "oh yes i would like a West Ham card" and then proceed to be the most ignorant customer asking all sorts of stupid questions.

or just say "i've got some dried up shit that needs scraping from my bum hole, this seems like it will do the job!"

Assuming Capital 1 do the official spurs credit card as well as Wet Spams...

When the number comes up on your phone, why don't you just answer it by saying "Good afternoon, I wonder if you would be interested in a West Ham credit card" before they have the opportunity to speak.

Turn it round on them, pretend you phoned them and see how they react.

just checked..... the west ham credit card is MBNA aswell not Capital 1.
