It is two years since Spurs were in the Champions League final, but they have since finished sixth and seventh in the Premier League.
Tottenham boss Nuno Espirito Santo wants his side to “go beyond our limits” as they aim to get back to the top table of English football.

We are certainly going to have to.

Yet another manager left with nothing close to what he needs to compete on the first day of the season. Year after fucking year.

I am beginning to feel that Nuno might turn out to be something special. Don't ask me why. Just a gut feeling. We'll see tomorrow if it has any legs.

I love his interviews. He literally has zero time for the media.

Journalist. "Nuno, can you tell us about some of the confusion surrounding the return of Harry Kane on Monday"
Nuno "that's your confusion not mine"

I like it too but I think we will quickly get bored of the same answers every week. Not that I care much about press conferences. Say canned answers all you like if you are getting the job done on the pitch. AG said in one of his previous vids that Nuno hates doing media stuff and wondered how that'd play out at Spurs. I think we are seeing early signs that it'll be mostly non-answers and deflecting questions.

When asked why Ndombele hadn't featured in pre season and does he have a future he talked about "we make decisions that are based on many things. There is always a reason". Answering without answering really.

At the moment it's all positivity but it'll be interesting how he deals with the media after a few bad results.

What would you like him to say?

“I’ve got the doing double training sessions and wearing a bin liner until he loses a couple of stone”
