Scott Houghton - scored a few goals for us in the early 90s.

Willem Korsten - one of raincoat's signings. Good player but injured a lot.

Frode Grodas - signed as a spare goalie then left again.

Some randoms during the intertoto cup season. I think Pardew was one of them.

Garry something or other - broke through then fucked off to Newcastle.
Brady. Last heard of playing for some pub team. Such a shame as he was just breaking through with us.

Good 'ol Frode Grodas. He was only 3 foot tall and had huge hairy feet, but he sure stuck it to Sauron.

Guy Butters. Defender. Started 34 games on the trot for us in 1988-89 apparently before going on loan to South Park Southend. Not ringing any bells whatsoever.

I remember him. He had a pretty tidy body and a cracking arse, face was a bit of a mess though 6/10 for me.

I'll get me coat...

Good ol' Nicola Berti. I remember being really excited we signed him, probably because he came from Inter Milan.

Willem Korsten was on his way to becoming a super star of a player and then he was struck by injuries, still one of my favourite Reserve players along with Moussa Saïb who was so good at Reserve level, ran every game he played in and El Hamdaoui who started to impress then got home sick and that was the end of him.

Ahhh, the Funtime Frankie era - that's prime for obscure players. Tomasz Peckart? Spase Dilevski? Lee Mills? (CB from Swindon)

Terry Dixson,He played for Ireland I think and he would have been a player but suffered from the old
Ledley's Knee.

Terry Dixon. Disappeared in that he did his cruciate twice, the second being mere weeks after he came back from the first, and was basically declared a cripple by our medical staff because he had a worse knee than Ledley.

Not that it stopped WHAM from signing him.

David Button - yeah he is first choice for Fulham... But I felt he was on the way to become England's no.1. One of the younger players we had that I was really excited about

Luke Young - i thot he had promise. Decent at the back, did pretty well for charlton, but his career didn't take off

Lee Barnard - another player I really liked. When he came off the bench, he showed a lot of energy chasing down defenders and trying to win the ball back high up the park.

Cristian Ceballos - Barcalona youth product.... Enough said..... i was really expecting him to be a star player for us. What I saw of him.. He seems to be really good on the ball, willing to take on his man. Personally he is the player I would have said would be a first team player for us when he signed.

Andy Gray. I remember us buying Andy Gray because we all joked at the time that it wasn't the Andy Gray, it was another Andy Gray. And then, a bit later, we sold Andy Gray and, perhaps, there was slightly less joking. But for the life of me I can't remember what happened in between. Apparently, he scored 3 goals. Anyone remember them?

Anyway, enough from me. Over to you. Can you fill in my memories or do you have any obscure offerings of your own?

I’ll have you know that there was a time when an Andy Gray long throw was the only thing of note to occur in 90 mins..... my god we were shit then.

When long standing ST holders are being defended from criticism on this forum that’s the reason why. We’ve suffered enough.

Anyway my nomination is Toda. What must have only been a bizarre marketing opportunity rather than a serious player recruitment. As a ST holder I must have seen him play a couple of times, but for the life of me I cannot recall anything about it.
