This looks like the right place to wish Steve Hodge a Happy Birthday. Surrounded by Hoddle, Waddle, Ardiles, etc. it's not surprising he rarely gets a mention.

What's his line of work these days?
He's involved with the media - He does coaching and public speaking at Corporate dos.

It's more sort of life coaching not football.

He contacted me through a client of mine because of what I do - I don't have or want a life coach.

Can't believe Peter Beadle has gone under the radar. Although if you're going to do that this is the thread to do it in.

Not obscure players, but a couple players who were very close to joining: John Hartson and I think Craig Bellamy. Didn't we have Steven Appiah on trial for a bit when Redknapp was manager?

He played a few games behind closed doors, I have a picture of him in the light blue aurasma away shirt

Paul Mahorn. A rather chubby fella who I don't think ever made a performance for us. I remember when we faced Man U with the fearsome strike force of Rory Allen and Neale Fenn. Thems were the days when we had 1000's of glory hunters.:whistle:
I remember that game. We got beaten easily in the end.

Scott Houghton - scored a few goals for us in the early 90s.

Willem Korsten - one of raincoat's signings. Good player but injured a lot.

Frode Grodas - signed as a spare goalie then left again.

Some randoms during the intertoto cup season. I think Pardew was one of them.

Garry something or other - broke through then fucked off to Newcastle.
Yeah we did have Pardew for that competition. Talking of unlikely players that played for us, didn't Dave Beasant turn up on loan for 5 minutes in the early 2000s?
