Tottenham midfielder Oliver Skipp will be fit for the start of Antonio Conte’s first pre-season at the club. That is according to journalist Alasdair Gold on his YouTube channel, who says he has been doing some digging around Skipp’s situation. Skipp has some injury complications with a pelvic problem but after a minor operation in America during April, he should be fighting fit ahead of the new campaign.

Very good with a full pre-season for Skippy after his injury. Important player... just as important as Højbjerg and Bentancur. I hope his injury nightmare is over. We need him to keep a high level at CM during a long and tough season.

Absolutely. I honestly think we'd have finished 5th if either of those had missed the run-in with injury.

Skipp had a very decent first part of the season and with Conte's coaching, will only improve. By all accounts Bentancur was carrying a 'knock' for a number of weeks so we should see even more from him with a good rest & pre-season, plus further adaptation to a new league.

Assuming Sarr isn't quite ready I'd still like to see a new CM, essentially an upgrade on Winks, which would mean any 2 from a very strong 4.

Spot on.. Winks out... Højbjerg, Bentancur, Skipp and Mr. X ?? (Maybe a more creative CM like Eriksen)... Skipp will only get better if he can avoid injuries. He is perfect for Spurs and Conte.

Possibly but wouldn't surprise me if he's in addition to a CM. I see CE giving us options formation-wise but wouldn't see him playing in a CM2 very often.

Maybe... Let's see what happens... I'm just looking forward to seeing Skippy on the pitch again. His development is very exciting. Could become a Spurs-legend.

Really pleased for the kid, should be an automatic start on the team sheet.
