The BBC recently posted an article about what the England team may look like in Russia 2018.

http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/28277119

In it, 5 journalists are asked to pick their England XI for 2018. They are pretty unimaginative, to say the least, especially in midfield and up front where all the names are the usual suspects.

With one exception.

Martin Lipton picks Joshua Onomah.

Patrick Roberts should be on there and I wouldn't be surprised to see Will Hughes if he can push on.

That's a great endorsement for Onomah....

really, really want us to push for Roberts, loaning him back for the season makes sense too.

Will Hughes didn't make any of the teams from memory

TBH these bunch of fuckwits said similar shit about josh mceachran and said Wilshere would be wanted by barcelona at the Brazilian world cup. Wilshere needs to get in to the arsenal team as he is slipping down the pecking order.

Also lol at smelling and rodwell

WTF do that lot honestly know?

Not one of them has even considered Barry Pickles, why? Because they haven't even heard of him the morons.

And they wouldn't know Trent Tampon or N'simba Damp if they delivered their bleedin papers

I just googled them you wanker :cautious:

I'm afraid after a few Hendriks, I just really wanted to be accepted.
I never imagined people on here would have access to google and I'd get found out.
I'll feel so guilty if you've ordered your new kit with either 'DAMP' or 'TAMPON' on the back Lilbaz....
Perish the thought that you and a friend had one each and sat side by side

WTF do that lot honestly know?

A question I've asked myself on hundreds of occasions and the answer which keeps coming back is 'not too much more than we do'.

The main difference between them and us, is they have the power to print their thoughts in the national sports media for millions to consider, which somehow suggests they have far greater authenticity, and we're constricted into having to spout our own views on message boards.

A similar article was written many years ago in The Times, trying to predict the future England team. For that one they selected Danny Hill from Spurs.

Sadly that didn't work out for Hill, Tottenham or England.

GK and defence.:

Hart
Walker
Jones
Cahill
Stones
Shaw

The other positions could literally be anyone. Obviously we're trying to play a 5-3-2 in 2018, about 4 years behind the rest of the World, as usual.
