Another heartbreaking loss at Wembley, another lame chorus of fans telling my son ‘get used to it lad, that’s the heartbreak of being a Spurs supporter.’ How do we expect our players to believe when the silence from our fans was deafening yet again today? We have to do better as supporters of the club - we have to be louder than the opposing team, and have to believe (as we should) that not only do we deserve to be in the Top 4, we actually deserve to win. Every. Single. Game. Let’s bring flags and drums and whatever else we need to create a winning environment. Our players and beloved club have earned it.

Won't happen at Wembley. Get prepared for the Emirates v2 when we go into the new stadium. Cl brings tourists and part time fans oh and vloggers.

What we really need to make a difference is a standing section. The other boats have sailed unless we go back to bottom half finishes.

They're not even allowed yet are they?
Agree with the rest of your post though.

Well I'm not really sure. I'm sure I saw a Lower league team had it. I know it's allowed in Scotland.

It’s pretty shit going to home games these days, even the big games last year were shit. Everyone would rather film other people singing or take pics, proper weird.

Always wonder what goes through those peoples thought process? “Oh yeah, bet my non-supporting spurs desperately wanna see some grainy footage of a fat bald bloke shouting ‘oh when the spurs’”

Welcome to the virtual age
The other night I went on a virtual bender with my virtual friends (that I have never actually met)
Got virtually pissed
Had a virtual kebab
Was virtually sick
Virtually cleaned myself up
Then had a virtual shag with a virtual girl
Then woke up the next day in a virtual town virtually lost.
I blame anyone under 25 personally.

The problem isn’t standing. It’s all standing where I am at Wembley and there’s still a load of ****s. The problem is fans are spoilt. If we’re not scoring goals we’re shit. Sing when we’re winning. And only if the opposition are what we deem to be worthy. Let’s just face it. This country doesn’t have the mentality to create good atmospheres anymore. There’s no hardship and desire or triumph. The closest one club came to it were Palace by acting all Italian and they fucked that up. Ticket prices have forced out the hunger. We’ve paid a shitload, make us happy or else we’ll sulk. Thank fuck for Lucas Moura today having a go at geeing up the crowd. Best 10 seconds of atmosphere all day.

Totally agree re Moura’s giving fans sh*t for not cheering was highlight of game - how do we create more of that??

Yeah we suck. The pool fans were singing and overpowering us the entire time. And I asked a simple question as to where to go for a pint with some spurs fans and noone answered. Honestly. We suck as fans.

I've always had this opinion that Spurs fans have a mentality of fearing the worst and waiting for things to fuck up. When we're pegged back or not playing well they go quiet and don't get behind the team and generally expect the worse, it's something in our DNA and we need to get rid of it.

So what can we do about it - surely if so many of us feel this way we should change this? Players deserve it ?

Always thought a drum would go a long way to helping start the chants but it seems to have been banned by the club. I remember when i used to go as a kid back in the 90s there was a drum and it made some chants sound really intimidating, like the 'Yids' chant. Shame there isn't one any more. That and a standing section would do the job for me. That and no more Wembley.

I also think there's a bit of a hypocrisy amongst the fanbase - everyone moans about the lack of atmosphere but I guarantee if we had a section of 'ultras' like at Palace or in Germany blaring out the tunes all day you'd get a load of old grumpy c*nts whinging at them to shut up & sit down.

We deserve a new stadium. It seems to be yet another Spursy screw up. There was a great atmosphere at WHL. You just won’t get that at Wembley.

Ye I agree but I think by having a standing area, like minded people will gravitate to it.
