Our transfers - so far so good?

Two things stand out so far - the quality of player we have bought in, and the money we made on our sales.

Modric, Bentley, Gomes - all proven quality (could even be argued in dos Santos' case, who I think will end up being the signing of the season). They cost a lot of money, but its good to see we have not made nay half-hearted, second (or more likely 5th) best signings.

Then our sales. We have made profits on Steed (bought for 2.5, sold for 5+), Teemu (bosman, 1 mill-ish) Keane (7, 20), Robbo (1.5, 3.5), possibly even Chimbonda (5, 5.5?) and given that those players have mainly got older, and probably only in Keane's case much better, that is some fantastic business.

Remember the tramezzani's, vega's and saib's? How much money did we waste on average players that we couldnt even get a quid for? I think credit must go to Levy, Comolli and Ramos on an excellent transfer window so far, and if rumours are to be believed, it will only get better.
